Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it.\nJob Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:\nIn this role, you will lead the design and development of core engine components including 5C Components, Structures, Cylinder Pack and Lube / Cooling systems. Flexible approach to work across multiple components is essential.\nHandle both New Product Introduction (NPI) and Current Product Improvement (CPI) projects including cost optimization efforts like resourcing and rationalization as well as Engineering guidance for Field, Assembly and Quality related Issues.\nLead engineering activities across the entire product lifecycle from requirement gathering through launch and into production for component and system-level projects, with a strong emphasis on achieving cost, quality and delivery targets. Actively engage with customers, product groups and SMPs throughout execution to ensure alignment and success.\nPerform design calculations, initiate innovative ideas, support design failure model and effect analysis (DFMEA) and develop validation plan.\nWork collaboratively with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality and suppliers to ensure seamless and successful product development.\nManage multiple projects and effectively communicate progress on cost, quality and timeline target to stakeholders including customer, suppliers, team members and other cross functional teams.\nDevelop and maintain comprehensive project plans to ensure successful execution of projects.\nEducation Requirement:\nBE Mechanical engineering with 8 or more years of relevant experience in engine industry (or)\nME / MTech Mechanical engineering (specialization in IC engines / Engineering Design / Thermal engineering) with 6 or more years of relevant experience in engine industry (ideal candidate).\nSkill Sets / Competencies (Must have):\nStrong Product knowledge of Core engine systems like 5C components, Bearings, Dampers, Gears, Major forgings and castings.\nExperience in New Product Introduction (from Concept to Production) and expertise in applying Value analysis / Value engineering techniques.\nCapability to design components that meet reliability & durability requirements and with manufacturing feasibility.\nHands-on experience with CAD tools such as Creo, along with working knowledge of simulation technologies including Stress Analysis, Thermo-Mechanical Fatigue (TMF) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).\nExtensive knowledge to apply GD&T to meet functional requirements.\nKnowledge on Data extraction, regression analysis and problem solving.\nExcellent Project Management, verbal / written communication and interpersonal skills.\nTop candidates will have:\nAdvanced degree from a reputed institution.\nOver 5 years of experience in Core engine component design and development, collaborating with global and regional teams.\nExperience in working with regional suppliers for core engine component development.\nGood knowledge of cross functional roles in domains such as Manufacturing, Purchasing, Quality, related to engines.\nSkill Descriptors:\nAnalytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to produce, analyze, simulate and test product design drafts.\nLevel Extensive Experience:\nCoaches others on orthographic, isometric and axonometric projections.\nPresents complex products and systems graphically.\nPerforms manipulations on design objects, such as changing projections and managing drawing layers.\nDirects the matrix computations performed to transform objects in coordinate space.\nConsults on benefits and drawbacks of top-down design vs. bottom-up design.\nCompares and contrasts uses of bird's-eye views and worm's-eye views.\nProduct Design - MFG: Knowledge of processes, approaches, tools and techniques of product design; ability to convert customer and market requirements into product design.\nLevel Extensive Experience:\nDevelops improvement plans for senior management and evaluates the outcome of the design against the functionality.\nAdvises others on the development of multiple products and their functionality.\nTrains others on advanced tools and approaches of product design.\nMonitors the processes and procedures of a complex product design to ensure functional requirements are met.\nEvaluates feedback from customers and consults on functional weaknesses.\nControls design and development costs of a proposed product through effective\nProduct Design and Development: Knowledge of product features;
