Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it.\nJob Responsibilities\nDevelop, design, and continuously improve drivetrain product assembly processes, including assembly flow, line layout, and assembly fixtures and tooling.\nProvide technical support to production, analyze and resolve on-site assembly and manufacturing issues to ensure product quality and process stability.\nLead the preparation and execution of PPAP activities for new drivetrain product launches, ensuring compliance with customer and quality system requirements.\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives to improve assembly line efficiency, productivity, and throughput using Lean manufacturing methodologies.\nIdentify potential safety risks in assembly operations and implement corrective and preventive actions to improve workplace safety performance.\nLead or support manufacturing cost management initiatives, including waste reduction, process optimization, and cost-saving projects within the assembly area.\nLead and support automation and semi-automation projects for drivetrain assembly processes to improve efficiency, quality, and labor utilization.\nSupport New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, including process planning, manufacturing readiness assessment, PFMEA, control plan development, pilot builds, and production ramp-up to ensure successful product launches.\nParticipate in digitalization initiatives within manufacturing operations, supporting data-driven process improvement, production monitoring, and smart manufacturing projects where applicable.\n\nQualifications & Requirements\nBachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related disciplines (Electrification-related majors are preferred).\nTypically 3-5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing / assembly engineering; strong potential candidates may also be considered.\nProficient in MS Office and 2D/3D engineering design tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or UG; capable of independently creating process drawings and designing assembly fixtures and tooling.\nSolid knowledge of engineering drawing standards, tolerances, and GD&T; familiar with mechanical assembly processes and quality management systems; able to independently resolve on-site assembly technical issues.\nExperience with intelligent/automated equipment is a plus; experience in Lean manufacturing and process optimization is preferred.\nExposure to NPI, product industrialization, manufacturing launch, or APQP/PPAP activities is preferred.\nKnowledge of manufacturing digitalization tools, production data analysis, Industry 4.0 concepts, MES, Power BI, automation, robotics, or smart manufacturing solutions is preferred.\nSolid sense of ownership with a proactive, results-driven mindset and strong willingness to learn and grow.\nStrong teamwork and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with production, quality, and engineering teams.\nAbility to work under pressure in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.\nGood communication skills in both Chinese and English, capable of supporting cross-cultural and cross-functional collaboration.\nPosting Dates:\n十月 20, 2026 - 十一月 3, 2026Caterpillar is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
