This is a hands-on opportunity for a safety professional who enjoys being connected to operations, building relationships on the shop floor, developing safety programs, and helping teams safely adopt new technologies, \nWhat You Will Do:\nLead and support day-to-day facility safety activities, partnering closely with employees, leaders, and other safety and facility teams to identify risks and strengthen safe work practices. \nDevelop, implement, and continuously improve safety programs, processes, procedures, training and documentation in support of evolving operations. \nAdvance serious-injury prevention by strengthening recognition of high-energy exposures, critical controls, bowties and direct controls.\nEmbed the Safety Driven outcomes of Care, Learn and Prevent through leader coaching, employee engagement, Human and Organizational Performance principles and Learning Teams.\nAssist with contractor safety management within the facility and across the IDES Division. \nMaintain and report safety metrics, trends, and other key performance indicators to help identify opportunities for improvement. \nProvide safety guidance and support for new and existing operations, equipment, and processes, including collaboration across multiple divisions and facility teams. \nEnsure required EHS training, onboarding and recurring learning are completed and understood for employees, agency personnel, contractors and visitors.\nSupport regulatory compliance activities and the application of OSHA requirements and other applicable safety standards. \nAssist with related EHS responsibilities as needed, including waste management and environmental activities, while developing expertise in emerging technologies.\nWhat You Will Have:\nRisk Management: Working knowledge of processes, tools and techniques for assessing and controlling an organization's exposure to risks of various kinds; ability to apply knowledge of risk management appropriately to diverse situations. \nCollaborating: Working knowledge of collaborative techniques; ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner. \nDecision Making and Critical Thinking: Extensive experience and knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment. \nInterpersonal Relationships: Extensive experience and knowledge knowledge of the techniques and the ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner. \nOvercoming Resistance to Change: Extensive experience, understanding and insight into the futility of refusing to accept the inevitable and ability to overcome resistance and adapt to a complex and changing environment. \nProblem Solving: Working knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations. \n Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Policy Compliance: Extensive experience and knowledge of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies; ability to implement EHS policies to ensure that provided products and services are safe for people and the environment and in compliance with legal requirements and standards. \nWhat Will Set You Apart:\nDemonstrated hands-on safety experience in a manufacturing, industrial, engineering, or similarly operational environment, with a strong understanding of workplace safety practices and OSHA requirements. \nStrong relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across organizations and comfortably engage employees and leaders on the shop floor. \nExperience developing or improving safety programs, training, metrics, and reporting in a fast-paced or evolving organization. \nA degree in safety, environmental health, occupational safety, or a related field and/or ASP or CSP certification is beneficial; however, relevant practical safety experience is highly valued. \nBasic knowledge of environmental compliance or waste management is also a plus. \nAdditional Information:\nThis role is located in Mossville, IL and requires 5-days a week on-site availability \nDomestic Relocation is not provided for this role \nVisa Sponsorship is not provided for this role \n10% or less travel expected \nSummary Pay Range:\n$112,710.00 - $169,060.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-relatedknowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.
