Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it.\nJob Description:\nLead & perform electric drive system & components solutions development, integration and validation for earthmoving products NTI and NPI programs to meet PQVC requirements.\nJob Duties:\nBe responsible for electric drive system & components solution development including powertrain system architecture, motor & motor control integration, converter & PDU integration and high voltage electrical installation;\nBe able to transfer VOC into CCR, develop & evaluate concept alternatives, perform DFMEA and develop technical specification;\nLead system and component design review meeting;\nWork with cross functional teams to conduct CPPD and APQP activities;\nLead L4 electric drive system on-machine performance tuning.\nDegree Requirement\nDegree required\nSkill Descriptors\nAnalytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.\nEffective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.\nTechnical Excellence: Knowledge of a given technology and various application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges.\nTeam Management: Knowledge of effective team building techniques; ability to form and manage effective teams.\nDesign for Manufacturability (DFM): Knowledge of design for manufacturability guidelines, methodologies, and use cases; ability to use this knowledge to optimize product designs and manufacturing operations.\nEngineering - MFG: Knowledge of processes, techniques and methods of engineering in a manufacturing environment; ability to design and implement materials, structures, machines, devices, systems and processes that safely realize a desired objective or invention.\nProduct Testing: Knowledge of product testing approaches, techniques and tools; ability to design, plan and execute testing strategies and tactics to ensure product quality at all stages of manufacturing.\nTroubleshooting Technical Problems: Knowledge of troubleshooting approaches, tools and techniques; ability to anticipate, detect and resolve technical problems in a manufacturing or product development environment.\nThis position requires working onsite five days a week.Posting Dates:\nNovember 4, 2026 - November 27, 2026Caterpillar is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
