Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it.\nEngineering Services & PLM Specialist\nPosition Summary\nThe Engineering Services & PLM Specialist ensures efficient and accurate implementation of engineering changes, product releases, and configuration management throughout the product lifecycle. The role is essential for maintaining manufacturing readiness, supporting sales and service activities, and ensuring high-quality product data within enterprise systems.\nKey Responsibilities\nExecute and manage Engineering Change Notices (CNs) in SAP ZAEM to support timely and reliable product releases.\nMaintain product configurations, master data, Bills of Material (BOMs), and variant structures in SAP.\nEnsure accurate product data is available for manufacturing, sales, service, and aftermarket operations.\nSupport Engineering, Product Definition, Manufacturing, and Service teams throughout the release process.\nCoordinate aluminum content evaluations and provide data required for U.S. customs declarations.\nFacilitate FMEA activities and support continuous product improvement initiatives.\nExecute migration of engineering specifications and product data into Caterpillar systems (e.g., REDI, EPIX, SIS2).\nDrive first-time-right release quality and continuous process improvements.\nRequired Qualifications\nExperience in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Engineering Change Management, or Product Configuration Management.\nStrong understanding of product structures, BOMs, configuration management, and engineering master data.\nExperience working in cross-functional engineering and manufacturing environments.\nStrong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and process orientation.\nTechnical Expertise\nSAP R/3 ECC 6.0 and SAP ZAEM\nSiemens Teamcenter 14.2, Active Workspace, and NX2206\nEngineering Change Management and Product Release Processes\nProduct Configuration and BOM Management\nWhat Success Looks Like\nFast, accurate, and reliable execution of change notifications.\nHigh-quality product data and configurations supporting manufacturing readiness.\nEfficient release processes with minimal rework and strong stakeholder satisfaction.\nEffective collaboration across Engineering, Operations, Service, and Sales.\nThis role is critical to ensuring seamless product releases, robust configuration management, and operational excellence across the Mannheim product portfolio.\nAdditional information: This job requires 5 working days from office.\nThis Job Description is intended as a general guide to the job duties for this position and is intended for the purpose of establishing the specific salary grade.
