Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it.\nJob Description\nThe Engineering Manager plans, directs and leads engineering staff and activities to develop and integrate forward-looking technologies within ADAS systems and safety products, including data gathering capabilities and build system infrastructure that enable efficient development, validation and deployment, while ensuring alignment with established policies/objectives.\nWhat You Will Do:\nManaging the engineering staff and activities with an emphasis on organizational goals achievement, professional development and continuous improvement.\nMonitoring and continuously improving product and process performance, quality and cost-effectiveness for all engineering activities and deliverables.\nProviding leadership to create and maintain processes used to design, develop and manufacture components, systems, products, services, and technologies.\nManaging engineering product and manufacturing process or quality issues, from concept through end of life-cycle.\nRequires a degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum.\nWhat You Have:\n Planning: Tactical, Strategic: Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan.\nDecision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.\nTechnical Excellence: Knowledge of a given technology and various application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges.\nCommunicating for Impact: Knowledge of the concepts, tools and techniques for effective listening and communicating; ability to apply these theories to receive, transmit and accurately interpret information and ideas to influence others in various situations.\nCustomer/Market Focus: Understanding of the importance of remaining aware of shifting market priorities and ability to respond to internal and external customer needs in a manner that consistently adds value.\nManaging People: Knowledge of processes involved in managing people; ability to lead successful teams, and diligently address issues related to performance and conflicts at the workplace.\nCollaborating Globally: Knowledge of effective collaboration techniques and ability to build networks with people from different countries and cultures, think and work with them to bring positive impact and flourishing business results.\nInfluencing Through Expertise: Knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to use these to deepen own expertise and impact or challenge decisions within and outside own organization. \nConsideration for Top Candidates:\n8+ years’ Proven experience in Technical Program Management experience (robotics or autonomous vehicles preferred) or leading complex autonomous or heavy-equipment product development\nNew Product Introduction (NPI) leadership experience for complex machines or product featuresExperience with ADAS or Safety program preferred\n\nStrong technical background in complex hardware-software systems\nExperience leading cross-functional teams and managing release schedules\nFamiliarity with agile development methodologies\nExposure to verification and validation of safety-critical software and systems\nProven success managing large-scale technology programs from concept through deployment and support.\nExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and project leadership skills\nAdditional Information:\nThis position requires the candidate to work full-time at the Irving, TX office.\nDomestic relocation assistance is available for this position.\nVisa sponsorship is NOT available with this position.\nThis position will require 25-50% travel\n#LI\nSummary Pay Range:\n$159,120.00 - $238,680.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-relatedknowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.
