Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it.\nJob Description:\nProvides support and guidance on all aspects of production, costs, quality, compliance to safety guidelines, and environmental requirements for manufacturing.\nResponsibilities will include but are not limited to:\nParticipating in identifying and implementing enhancements and modifications to equipment and processes.\nMonitoring equipment and process reliability; identifying and addressing problem areas.\nAnalyzing engineering change notices, determines any part or process change, initiates and implements all changes.\nProviding engineering support on planning, development, operation, and maintenance of equipment, processes, or facilities.\nSkill Descriptors:\nCollaborative Automation: Knowledge of techniques and processes of collaborative automation; ability to develop and deploy cobots to automate manufacturing processes.\nLevel Basic Understanding: \nDescribes the concepts, features, and benefits of collaborative automation.\nDiscusses key considerations and issues in collaborative automation.\nHighlights the difference between collaborative robots and traditional robots.\nLists applications of collaborative automation such as material handling, product inspection, etc. Engineering - MFG: Knowledge of processes, techniques and methods of engineering in a manufacturing environment; ability to design and implement materials, structures, machines, devices, systems and processes that safely realize a desired objective or invention. Level Working Knowledge: \nAssists in problem resolution, drafting and writing specifications for engineering practices.\nWorks with basic, routine components of the engineering discipline in manufacturing.\nPerforms basic installation, maintenance and repairs for a specific engineering function.\nFollows relevant standards, policies and practices in engineering operations.\nReports unusual engineering issues and considerations regarding manufacturing operations to senior staff. Level Basic Understanding: \nExplains the value of a disciplined approach to problem solving.\nDescribes problem reporting and escalation practices.\nUtilizes accepted procedures for problem analysis and resolution.\nIdentifies key aspects of problem-solving techniques used in own area.\nWhat you will have:\n· BS degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Mechatronics or related field,\n· 80% de Ingles English level, written and oral communication\n· 4+ years of relevant experience in Machining programming and processes including turning, milling, multi-axis and grinding\n· Experience on leading improvement projects related to Machining\n· Knowledgeable and experience with Project Management basics\n· Provides effective communication and services in solving production problems or pursuing operations improvements\n· Proficient with Geometric Tolerancing and 1E specs\n· Machining background and proficiency with offline programming\nDesired Qualifications:\n· Prior experience working in a machining, assembly, fabrication, heat treat processing, metallurgy and/or materials systems position\n· Knowledegeable in project managemen\n· 6 Sigma Green Belt\n· Experience with G Code programming.\nLocation Disclaimer:\nAt the time of hire, this position will be associated with Caterpillar's existing Nuevo Laredo work location. Caterpillar is actively pursuing a new facility that will become the long-term work location for this role. While the exact address has not yet been finalized, the new facility is expected to be located within approximately five miles of our current operation.
