Bring your industrial or commercial Paint Booth, Spray Gun - Automotive or other coating and finishing industrial application experience to Caterpillar- Today!\nPay Rate and Schedule:\nThe position includes an extension wage of $26.98 /hour (this includes a base wage of $25.73 plus the additional $ 1.25 /hour shift differential) and a comprehensive day-one benefits program, generous time off, and on-site health and wellness!\nOpenings available on 2nd shift: Monday - Friday, 2 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. and 3rd shift: Sunday - Friday10:00 p.m. - 06:00 a.m. Overtime opportunities may be available on a voluntary basis based on business needs and with leader prior authorization.\nTop Candidates Will Have:\nExperience in equipment paint processing, booth/spray paint process, or a paint related certificate or certified trade school/technical degree in paint related field \nExperience in top coat, prime coat and electrostatic paint or similar process \nTop Candidates Will Have:\nAbility to read blueprints/engineering drawings \nLeadership experience \nHeavy crane equipment experience \nAbility to read standard work and write continuous improvement cards \nUnderstanding of Lean Manufacturing Principles \nAbility to utilize computer for production transactions, standard work updates and various projects \nExperience using paint tools including cup paint gun, sanders and buffers. \nKnowledge of paint properties \nKnowledge of Caterpillar standards for paint quality (1E 2001 specs for paint) \n\nYour Role Day to Day: \nResponsible for putting safety first with a goal to prevent all injuries, occupational illnesses and safety incidents. Sand, mask, wash, paint and touch-up components and machines according to blueprint and engineering drawings Electronically and manually maintain documentation for labor hour records, work order processing, and production documentation (Serial Number reporting, Material Transfer records, Defective Materials reports, etc.). Perform activities related to hazardous waste handling Prioritize work to meet production schedules. Take initiative to identify, document, communicate and correct problems related to paint, report discrepancies and recommend solutions. Identify and relay information for correction on discrepancies in affected assembly processes, safety, quality and production issues. Support team People, Quality, Velocity and Cost (PQVC) initiatives and daily activities. Work and interact effectively in a team environment in alignment with our Code of Conduct and Values in Action. Complete other projects as needed. Work in tight spaces Repetitive grasping, pushing, pulling rotating Use of fine motor skills Use of paint and wash tools including cup paint gun, sanders and buffers etc.\nApplications must be complete to be considered.
