We’re exploring new ideas and opportunities - innovating to discover the breakthroughs necessary for tomorrow’s growth.\nThrough it all, we are one team - creating and delivering world-class components and solutions superior to the competition.\nAs an Inventory Coordinator at Caterpillar Logistics Services, you will perform all functions as a warehouse associate along with the functions necessary to reconcile all inventory and receiving grief, including on-hand overages and underages, supplier discrepancies, location grief, and receipt grief. You will also perform systematic moves for inventory.\nSpecial Announcement: It was recently announced that PSLD Lafayette operations will be moving many of their positions to the facility in Lebanon, IN over the next 3 months. These positions are included in the upcoming move.\nAdditional Information\nSecond Shift: Monday - Friday 2:30pm - 10:30pm\nStarting pay $22.45 per hour with a 6% shift differential\nLocated in Lafayette, IN (1627 Veterans Memorial Pkwy E, Lafayette, IN 47905)\nPotential monthly attendance bonus of $200\nRelocation assistance is not offered for this position \nCandidates must be able to read, write and conduct business in English \nAbility to work overtime when required \nJOB DUTIES:\nAssigned to specialized equipment: i.e. Reach Trucks, Order Pickers\nConsistently meet equipment-specific efficiency targets\nUtilizing and inspecting heavy equipment including sit down fork truck, pallet jack and overhead hoists\nPerform material handling and warehousing functions, Order filling, processing, storing/ picking of parts, materials, equipment and supplies \nFacility rearrangement to facilitate receipts of additional material. \nWork closely with supervisor and Team Leads to work various location and inventory discrepancies. \nPerform random and scheduled inventory and receipt audits as directed.\nAccountable for training employees on any process.\nMust be able to work independently while promoting cooperative team relationships in day-to-day support of the facility and client’s inventory needs. \nPerform various reconciliation functions relating to inventory control and receipt accuracy of Caterpillar on-hand material, supplier discrepancies and shipment errors. \nWork location is on warehouse floor.\nOperating automated packaging equipment, shipping, and receiving\nThe ability to cross reference material to documentation for verification\nBasic Qualifications:\nGreat Attitude\nAt least 6 months of facility or outside warehouse inventory experience\nAbility to work overtime\nWillingness to support Continuous Improvement projects\nTop Candidates will also have:\nGood written and oral communication\nCustomer service skills\nExperience on Order Pickers\nInventory experience and computer skills\nPhysical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodations):\nOccasionally lift and carry contents weighing up to 35 pounds for intervals of 15-30 minutes (with or without lifting devices)\nWork in an environment with frequently changing temperatures\nWalk, squat and bend over for intervals of 15-30 minutes\nConsistent usage of required PPE for task being performed\nAll eligible candidates MUSTpass the following pre-employment screenings before they can be hired to Caterpillar:\nBackground Screening \nDrug Screening \nPost-Offer Medical Questionnaire - clearance from Corporate Medical \nPlease frequently check the email associated with your application, including the junk/spam folder, as this is the primary correspondence method.
