Join our team to help build a better, more sustainable world for future generations!\nRole Definition\nAs an Inventory Control Clerk II you will work from a variety of source documents and business systems to verify part numbers, locations, inventory accuracy, and material transactions. You will ensure materials are received, stored, picked, and shipped accurately while supporting inventory control activities, order fulfillment, and customer requirements. In addition, you will maintain inventory traceability throughout the value stream, investigate discrepancies, reconcile inventories, and support continuous improvement efforts to drive inventory accuracy and operational excellence.\nWhat You Will Do\nPerform scheduled cycle counts, inventory audits, and physical inventory activities to maintain inventory accuracy.\nResearch inventory discrepancies, reconcile inventory records, and identify root causes to support corrective actions.\nValidate inventory transactions, including receipts, shipments, transfers, material movements, and inventory adjustments.\nMaintain accurate inventory records within warehouse management and ERP systems.\nManage assigned inventory areas by monitoring inventory accuracy, resolving discrepancies, and targeting aged inventory.\nSupport inventory reconciliation efforts and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inventory performance.\nDocument audit results, inventory findings, corrective actions, and discrepancy resolution activities.\n· Support month-end, quarter-end, and annual physical inventory processes.\nTrack inventory quality metrics and support achievement of inventory accuracy and quality objectives.\nCoordinate investigations related to inventory discrepancies and internally reported logistics concerns.\nCoordinate expedited material requests to support operational and customer requirements.\nUtilize multiple business systems to maintain inventory visibility and transaction accuracy.\nOperate material-handling equipment, including forklifts, reach trucks, sit-down forklifts, and overhead cranes, as required.\nSupport material handling, warehousing, order fulfillment, shipping, receiving, and picking operations as business needs require.\nFollow all Caterpillar safety requirements, PPE standards, and established work procedures.\nWhat You Will Have\nExperience in inventory control, warehousing, logistics, material handling, or parts distribution.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.\nAbility to maintain accurate and complete inventory and transaction records.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy.\nEffective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.\nAbility to investigate issues, analyze information, and support problem-solving activities.\nDemonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.\nGood attendance record and flexibility to work overtime as required.\nExperience with warehouse management systems, ERP systems, or inventory management systems preferred.\nCommitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.\nEssential Job Functions\nSafely lift and move materials weighing up to 35 pounds individually and up to 70 pounds with team assistance.\nPerform frequent physical activities including bending, reaching, squatting, and walking.\nUtilize required PPE and adhere to all safety policies and procedures.\nWork effectively in an environment with fluctuating temperatures and operational conditions.\nStand, walk, and sit for extended periods as required to perform assigned responsibilities.\nSupport warehouse, inventory, and operational activities while maintaining established safety and quality standards.\nShift: Monday - Thursday 6:30AM-5:00PM\nOpportunity for overtime based on business needs\nAdditional Information\nLocation: Griffin, GA\nRelocation assistance is not available for this position.\nVisa Sponsorship is not available for this position.\nSummary Pay Range:\n$21.38 - $27.31Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-relatedknowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.
