With 3 to 5 years of experience in designing, developing, and supporting enterprise data solutions within Procurement applications in RI IT. The candidate will be responsible for building scalable data pipelines, optimizing Snowflake data models, and enabling analytics solutions across Procurement Data Platforms such as EPDP and SCDP.\nThe preference for this role is to be based out of Bangalore - Caterpillar PSN\nThis position requires candidate to work a 5-day -a -week schedule.\nShift Timing : 01:00-10:00PM IST\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes using Snowflake and cloud-based data technologies.\nBuild and optimize Snowflake databases, schemas, tables, views, stored procedures, tasks, and streams.\nDevelop data integration solutions to ingest data from ERP, procurement, supplier, and supply chain systems into enterprise data platforms.\nSupport Procurement analytics, supplier management, sourcing, item master data, and spend analytics initiatives.\nCollaborate with business analysts, product owners, and data consumers to gather requirements and deliver data solutions.\nMonitor data quality, troubleshoot performance issues, and implement optimization strategies.\nDevelop reusable data models and ensure adherence to enterprise data governance and security standards.\nSupport reporting and analytics teams by enabling data access for Power BI and other BI solutions.\nParticipate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, testing, and deployment activities.\nRequired Skills\n3 to 5 years of experience in Data Warehousing and Data Engineering.\nStrong hands-on experience with Snowflake.\nProficiency in SQL, Python, data modeling, and performance tuning.\nKnowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS.\nUnderstanding of Supply Chain, Procurement, or Manufacturing business processes.\nExperience working with large-scale enterprise datasets and analytical solutions.\nFamiliarity with CI/CD practices and Git-based version control.\nPreferred Skills\nKnowledge with Power BI and analytics reporting.\nExposure to procurement systems, supplier management, sourcing, and master data domains.\nKnowledge of Python or scripting languages for automation.\nExperience working in Agile/Scrum environments.\nQualifications\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.\nSnowflake certification is preferred.\nStrong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.\nSkill Descriptors\nCore Application Systems: Knowledge of major production application systems used for delivery of services to internal and external clients; ability to leverage major production application systems in diverse situations.\nLevel Basic Understanding:\nDescribes basic elements and benefits of core applications supported by own area.\nNames the organization's core application systems.\nNames major business functions and services supported by core applications.\nLocates and uses relevant documentation for core applications.
