Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it.\nJob Summary\nWe are seeking an experienced IT Analyst applications (Visualization & Power Platform) to join our India GCC - GCIO BI Services - CAT IT Division.\nThe preference for this role is to be based out of Bangalore - Caterpillar PSN / Chennai - WTC\nThis position requires candidate to work a 5-day -a -week schedule.\nShift Timing: 01:00-10:00PM IST\nJob Description:\nRole focus: Hands-on delivery across Microsoft Power Platform, Power BI, Snowflake, SQL, and AI-enabled business solutions.\nPosition Summary\nThe IT Analyst will design, develop, enhance, and support business applications, dashboards, reporting solutions, and workflow automations for the Visualization team. The role requires strong hands-on expertise in Microsoft Power Platform and Power BI, supported by solid Snowflake and SQL capabilities. The successful candidate will work directly with business partners and technical teams to translate requirements into secure, scalable, user-friendly, and data-driven solutions. The role will also contribute to practical AI-enabled capabilities that improve productivity, analytics, and business decision-making.\nKey Responsibilities\n· Design, build, test, deploy, and support Power Apps solutions, including Canvas Apps and Model-Driven Apps.\n· Develop workflow automation and system integration using Power Automate.\n· Build and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, semantic models, scorecards, and operational analytics.\n· Develop efficient DAX measures and Power Query transformations and optimize report performance and usability.\n· Use Snowflake and SQL to extract, transform, validate, and analyze data for applications and visualization solutions.\n· Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements, define solution options, and deliver fit-for-purpose outcomes.\n· Integrate Power Platform solutions with Dataverse, SharePoint, Teams, APIs, Snowflake, and other approved enterprise data sources.\n· Apply security, access control, row-level security, data privacy, governance, and application lifecycle management practices.\n· Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement sustainable fixes.\n· Create clear technical documentation and provide knowledge transfer and user support.\n· Identify opportunities to use AI, Copilot, and automation to improve business processes and analytical experiences.\n· Participate in Agile delivery, estimation, testing, release management, and continuous improvement activities.\nRequired Technical Competencies\nMicrosoft Power Platform\n· Strong hands-on experience with Power Apps, particularly Canvas Apps. Experience with Model-Driven Apps is desirable.\n· Strong hands-on experience with Power Automate, including approvals, notifications, scheduled flows, and integrations.\n· Working knowledge of Dataverse, solution packaging, environment management, connectors, and application lifecycle management.\n· Ability to design intuitive user experiences and reusable application components.\nPower BI and Visualization\n· Strong hands-on experience developing Power BI reports and dashboards.\n· Proficiency in data modeling, DAX, Power Query, semantic models, drill-throughs, bookmarks, and report navigation.\n· Experience performance optimization, refreshing troubleshooting, gateway concepts, and row-level security.\n· Ability to apply visualization best practices and translate complex data into clear business insights.\nSnowflake and SQL\n· Strong SQL skills, including joins, subqueries, common table expressions, aggregations, views, and query optimization.\n· Hands-on experience querying and validating data in Snowflake.\n· Understanding relational data models, data warehousing, ETL/ELT concepts, data quality, and reconciliation.\nAI and Emerging Technology\n· Understanding generative AI concepts and practical enterprise use cases.\n· Experience or strong exposure to Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, Snowflake Cortex, AI Builder, or AI-enabled Power Platform capabilities.\n· Ability to incorporate AI-assisted features into apps, automation, and analytics solutions where appropriate.\n· Knowledge of prompt design, responsible AI, data security, privacy, and human validation of AI-generated outputs.\nRequired Qualifications and Experience\n· Bachelor's or Masters`s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, Analytics, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.\n· Approximately 5 -7 years of relevant experience in Power Platform, business intelligence, visualization, analytics, or application development.\n· Demonstrated hands-on delivery experience in Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, SQL, and Snowflake.\n· Experience gathering requirements and delivering solutions in collaboration with business and technical stakeholders.\n· Experience supporting production applications, dashboards, and data solutions in an enterprise environment.\nPreferred Competencies\n· Experience with Copilot Studio, Microsoft Fabric, Azure services, REST APIs, SharePoint Online, or Teams integration.\n· Exposure to Tableau or ThoughtSpot.\n· Experience with Azure DevOps or comparable work management and CI/CD tool.\n· Understanding testing practices, source control, deployment pipelines, monitoring, and support processes.\n· Experience working in Agile delivery teams and with global stakeholders.\n· Experience in machine manufacturing or a related industrial domain is preferred.\nBehavioral Competencies\n· Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and attention to detail.\n· Customer-focused approach with the ability to understand business needs and recommend practical solutions.\n· Clear written and verbal communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.\n· Ability to work independently, manage priorities, collaborate across teams, and take ownership of deliverables.\n· Curiosity and commitment to continuous learning across Power Platform, analytics, AI, and data technologies.\nSkill Descriptors\nCore Application Systems: Knowledge of major production application systems used for delivery of services to internal and external clients;
