This initiative includes, networking sessions, coaching, trainings, and a project / work scope assignment.\nEligibility to apply - Career break of minimum 6 months.\nJob Summary\nWe are looking for an experienced Mainframe Developer with hands-on experience in designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting enterprise mainframe applications. The candidate should have strong technical expertise in COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS and VSAM, along with experience supporting business-critical applications and working with cross-functional teams.\nWhat You Will Do:\nDesign, develop, test and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS and VSAM.\nAnalyze business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.\nDevelop and enhance batch and online applications.\nPerform complex application debugging, root-cause analysis and production issue resolution.\nWrite and optimize DB2 SQL queries, COBOL programs and JCL jobs.\nSupport production batch cycles and resolve job failures and application incidents.\nPerform impact analysis for application enhancements and system/interface changes.\nWork with upstream and downstream applications to troubleshoot integration and data-flow issues.\nParticipate in code reviews and ensure adherence to development and quality standards.\nSupport application releases, implementation and post-production validation.\nCreate and maintain technical specifications, application documentation and support procedures.\nMentor junior developers and provide technical guidance.\nCollaborate with business analysts, application teams, infrastructure teams and other stakeholders.\nDrive automation and continuous improvement opportunities within mainframe development and support.\nWhat You Have:\nRequired Technical Skills\nMust Have\nCOBOL\nJCL\nDB2 / SQL\nCICS\nVSAM\nMainframe batch processing\nProduction support and troubleshooting\nFile handling and data processing\nDebugging and root-cause analysis\nPreferred / Good to Have\nIBM z/OS\nTSO/ISPF\nSDSF\nIBM MQ\nChangeman / Endevor\nControl-M or equivalent scheduling tool\nFile-AID / Abend-AID\nExperience Expectations\nthe candidate should be capable of independently owning technical deliverables rather than only performing coding tasks.
