Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it.\nJob Summary\nWe are looking to add a skilled IT Analyst Technical Infrastructure (Senior Cloud Engineer) to join the Enterprise Cloud Adoption team within the Caterpillar IT Division as we expand our team to support AI and Machine Learning workloads.\nThe preference for this role is to be based out of Whitefield PSN Office, Bangalore\nWhat you will do\nDeploy cloud technologies based on requirements gathered from business partners\nPerform implementation and integration tasks for medium to large, complex in-house developed systems and/or purchased software solutions without close supervision\nAssist business partners with documentation, training and usability efforts\nTroubleshoot infrastructure and/or application connectivity issues across a complex global network\nEnhance and adhere to architectural designs, processes and procedures\nManage and plan your deliverables using the Agile methodology\nProvide high-level consulting to teams utilizing the sandbox environments, ensuring velocity in proof-of-concept activities\nEnsure operational activities are completed within the required OLAs/SLAs.\nCollaborate with Caterpillar IT teams to enable foundational functionality as defined in the service enablement process\nWhat you will have:\n7+ years in infrastructure operations or applications development, with special emphasis in areas of AI and machine learning\nBachelor’s degree in computer science or related Information Technology degree\nIndustry certification, with Solution Architect, AI or Machine Learning focus preferred\nExperience using the Agile methodology\nExperience working with CI/CD pipelines, specifically Azure DevOps or GitHub\nExperience with technical leadership or lead developer role with practical experience in cloud computing, architecture work, systems or application design, and development \nStrong verbal and written communication (English), teamwork, analytical, and interpersonal skills\nStrong problem solving and customer service skills\nShift Timing: 01:00-10:00PM IST.\nThis position requires candidate to work a 5-day -a -week schedule in the office.\nSkills Required:\nTechnical Excellence: Knowledge of a given technology and various application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges.\nLevel Working Knowledge:\nProvides effective technical solutions to routine functional challenges via sound technical competence, effectively examining implications of events and issues.\nEffectively performs the technical job aspects, continuously building knowledge and keeping up-to-date on technical and procedural job components.\nApplies technical operating and project standards based on achieving excellence in delivered products, technologies and services.\nApplies current procedures and technologies to help resolve technical issues in one's general area of technical competence.\nHelps others solve technical or procedural problems or issues. Hardware Infrastructure: Knowledge of computer architecture and systems programming; ability to design, build and integrate IT hardware into multi-platforms for the organization. Level Working Knowledge:\nAssists in integrating IT hardware with the organization's existing systems.\nParticipates in the implementation of IT hardware within the organization.\nTracks operational problems related to IT hardware and reports them directly to the supervisor.\nAssists in designing the main features of IT hardware according to business needs.\nCompares IT hardware across one's own organization and its competitors. Requirements Analysis: Knowledge of tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis; ability to elicit, analyze and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project. Systems Software Infrastructure: Knowledge of computer architecture and system software interaction; ability to design and build a fundamental architecture of operating systems, database management systems, communications protocols, compilers and other development tools. Level Working Knowledge:\nReports software connectivity and integration issues.\nDemonstrates planned software changes on the local environment.\nAdministers software migration and contingency plans related to own function.\nAnalyzes the local software architecture components and products.\nTests key features for the entire software infrastructure environment. Technical Troubleshooting: Knowledge of technical troubleshooting approaches, tools and techniques; ability to anticipate, recognize, and resolve technical issues on hardware, software, application or operation. Level Working Knowledge:\nDiscovers, analyzes, and resolves hardware, software or application problems.\nWorks with vendor-specific diagnostic guides, tools and utilities.\nHandles calls related to product features, applications, and compatibility standards.\nAnalyzes code, logs, and current systems as part of advanced troubleshooting.\nRecords and reports specific technical problems, solving processes and tools that have been used. Technical Writing/Documentation: Knowledge of technical writing; ability to write technical documents such as manuals, reports, guidelines or documents on standards, processes and applications.
