Their priority is to advocate for the customer and provide coverage for all customers.\nCat Electronics’ Common Services and Network Solutions section is responsible for developing embedded software libraries and data link standards used across Caterpillar’s line of machine and engine products. Our team is responsible for software providing data link communication, information services, security, boot software, and other functions. We are responsible for developing and deploying “best in class” solutions in the area of data link communications.\nWhat You Will Do:\nResponsible for interacting with customers/clients and the Common Services and Network Solutions (CSNS) Global Value Team.\nSupport customer best by listening to all network and CSNS scope.\nBring requirements and requests to the global value team.\nAct as point of contact for the CSNS team to the customer.\nAssist in budget planning and negotiating schedules with customers.\nInterface between customer and delivery team.\nMain contributor to the global value team, by hearing requests from customers/clients and presenting them to the team.\nPrioritize the requirements with the help of the global value team.\nEnsure platform hardware and necessary tools are in place from customer for the team to work on.\nFacilitate Release Planning (ATEST, RC, and Production Intent) with the customer.\nAccountable for customer issues and feature enhancements.\nWhat you will have:\nRequirements Analysis: Knowledge of tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis; ability to elicit, analyze and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project.\nEffective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.\nTeamwork: Knowledge of the necessity and value of teamwork; experience with; ability to work cooperatively towards shared goals and being supportive of others at all levels.\nTechnical Troubleshooting: Knowledge of technical troubleshooting approaches, tools and techniques; ability to anticipate, recognize, and resolve technical issues on hardware, software, application or operation.\nTechnical Excellence: Knowledge of a given technology and various application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges.\nLevel Extensive Experience:\nPerforming and leading the requirements, design, development, test network communication and foundational information software used in embedded systems on Caterpillar machine or industrial applications\nDeveloping embedded ‘C’ and/or C++ code software solutions to meet system requirements.\nDeveloping software components that must comply with the software architecture standards.\nDeveloping embedded software following a common process.\nDesign and development of multiple or large software products.\nContrasts advantages and drawbacks of different implementations of embedded software, different development languages and tools.\nEstimates and monitors development time, and costs based on functional and technical requirements.\nProvides consulting on both selection and utilization of developers' workbench tools.\nTop Candidates will also have\nA bachelor’s degree in electrical, Electronics or Computer Engineering or Computer Science, 6 years systems and software development experience\n4 years (concurrent) experience in automotive, machine, or industrial embedded software development.\nA master’s degree in electrical, Electronics or Computer Engineering or Computer Science, 3 years embedded network communication systems and software development experience\nAVB/TSN, Industrial Ethernet protocols, Autonomy and Automation middleware knowledge.\nExperience developing and maintaining data link and networking protocol libraries, developing low level network Drivers utilizing CAN, CAN FD, J1939 and or Ethernet communication library development.\nAdditional Details:\nThis position requires the candidate to work full-time in Mossville, IL\nDomestic relocation assistance is available for this position.\nVisa sponsorship is available for this position\nThis position will require up to 10% travel\nSummary Pay Range:\n$128,470.00 - $192,710.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-relatedknowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.
