Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it.\nJob Overview\nCaterpillar Digital is seeking a Lead Software Engineer for the Digital Asset Management (DAM) platform\nThis role will lead the design, development, and integration of DAM solutions to enable efficient asset management, metadata governance, and workflow automation, supporting enterprise-scale content operations across global digital platforms.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead design and development of AEM Assets (DAM) solutions, including asset workflows, metadata, and integrations\nBuild scalable solutions for:Asset ingestion, processing, and distribution\nMetadata and taxonomy-driven asset management\nContent reuse and lifecycle management\n\nDefine and implement DAM architecture, standards, and best practices\nDevelop and optimize workflow-driven asset pipelines (upload → enrichment → approval → publishing)\nLead integrations across:AEM Sites (content consumption)\nWorkfront (workflow orchestration)\nPIM and downstream digital platforms\n\nEnsure high performance, scalability, and reliability of DAM services\nDrive CI/CD implementation and enforce engineering quality standards\nCollaborate with Product Owners, BAs, QA, and Architects for end-to-end delivery\nMentor engineers and guide development teams on DAM best practices\nRequired Qualifications\n10+ years of software development experience\nStrong expertise in: Adobe Experience Manager (AEM Assets / DAM)\nJava, REST APIs, and microservices architecture\nHTML, CSS, and JavaScript\n\nExperience in:Metadata schema design and taxonomy governance (DAM-specific)\nCI/CD tools (Maven, Azure DevOps)\n\nProven experience delivering enterprise-scale DAM or CMS platforms\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with AEM as a Cloud Service (AEMaaCS)\nKnowledge of Workfront or similar workflow tools\nExperience with AI-driven tagging, metadata enrichment, or asset automation\nFamiliarity with headless CMS, APIs, or GraphQL\nKey Competencies\nStrong technical leadership and architecture design\nExpertise in DAM workflows, metadata, and governance\nProblem-solving and system design at scale\nCross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management\nKey Deliverables\nBuild and enhance enterprise DAM platform on AEM Assets\nEnable scalable asset workflows, metadata governance, and automation\nImprove asset discoverability, reuse, and lifecycle management\nPosting Dates:\nOctober 6, 2026 - October 19, 2026Caterpillar is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
