This platform enables large-scale data ingestion, transformation, and analytics across manufacturing, supply chain, and engineering ecosystems.\nThe ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in data engineering, large-scale data ingestion, AWS-based architectures, and Snowflake, along with strong leadership and software engineering discipline.\nKey Responsibilities\nLeadership & Delivery\nLead and mentor a team of data engineers and platform developers\nDrive Agile execution and ensure predictable, high-quality delivery\nEstablish engineering best practices, code quality, and CI/CD standards\nData Platform & Architecture\nArchitect scalable and secure data platforms on AWS\nDesign robust data ingestion frameworks for batch and near real-time pipelines\nDefine best practices in data modeling, governance, and metadata management\n Data Engineering & Ingestion\nLead design and development of scalable ingestion pipelines (structured and unstructured data)\nBuild and optimize Snowflake-based data platforms for performance and cost\nEnable ingestion of diverse sources (databases, APIs, files, streaming data)\n Cloud & Platform Engineering\nLeverage AWS services (S3, Glue, Lambda, EMR, Redshift, etc.) for end-to-end pipelines\nImplement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps / Jenkins\nEnsure system scalability, resiliency, and operational readiness\n Software Engineering Excellence\nEnforce software engineering principles (modular design, code quality, testing, version control)\nDrive automation and continuous improvement\nPromote reusable frameworks for ingestion and transformation\nStakeholder Collaboration\nPartner with product managers, SMEs, and business stakeholders\nTranslate business needs into scalable data solutions\nMust-Have Skills\n10+ years of experience in Data Engineering / Data Platform roles\nStrong experience in AWS data ecosystem (S3, Glue, Lambda, EMR, Redshift)\nDeep expertise in Snowflake (architecture, optimization, data modeling)\nStrong programming skills in Python and SQL\nExtensive experience with data ingestion pipelines and ETL/ELT frameworks\nExposure to real-time streaming (Kafka, Spark Streaming)\nExperience with CI/CD tools (GitHub, Jenkins, AWS CloudFormation etc.)\nSolid understanding of distributed systems and scalable architectures\nStrong foundation in software engineering principles (Git, testing, design patterns)\nExperienced in working with Agile teams\nCollaborate with Data Science and AI teams to operationalize ML models and analytics workflows.\nPromote integration of AI capabilities into data engineering pipelines (e.g., GenAI, MCP, ATA).\nSupport real-time analytics and edge AI use cases in manufacturing environments.\nUse AI extensively in building and testing Data Ingestion and Data pipeline\nNice-to-Have Skills\nExperience with Graph Databases (Neo4j, Neptune)\nExperience with Vector Databases (Milvus, OpenSearch)\nKnowledge of NVIDIA ecosystem and RAPIDS (cuDF, cuML, cuGraph)\nExperience integrating AI/ML pipelines or GenAI workflows\nQualifications\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science / Engineering\nProven track record in leading engineering teams and delivering at scale\nStrong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills\nThis position requires working onsite five days a week.Relocation is available for this position.Posting Dates:\nNovember 4, 2026 - November 12, 2026Caterpillar is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
