In PSLD, as within all of Caterpillar, our priority is our customers and helping them build a better world. We touch nearly every element of the services value stream. PSLD is responsible for Aftermarket Parts Distribution of Cat Parts, Integrated Logistics and Global Services supporting Caterpillar dealers and customers. Our teams work together in critical areas that leverage digital capabilities, technology and operational excellence.\nAs a Logistics Planning Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting the overall operational health of the facility through warehouse management system support, project coordination, and continuous improvement activities. You will assist with Lean and Six Sigma initiatives, continuous improvement board management, value stream mapping, and operational health assessments. This role will also provide support for contractor management and help ensure purchase orders and invoicing remain current and accurate.\n\nAdditional Information:\nThis role is located in Fountain Inn, SC and does not offer relocation.\nThis role is 1st shift, Monday - Friday.\nThis role is 100% on-site with no opportunity for hybrid or remote schedules\nThis role requires up to 10% domestic travel\nWhat You Will Do:\nSupport day-to-day operational health and efficiency of the facility.\nAssist with warehouse management system activities and operational needs.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean and Six Sigma projects.\nMaintain and coordinate the facility’s continuous improvement boards and related activities.\nParticipate in value stream mapping and operational health assessments to identify improvement opportunities.\nSupport facility projects and help coordinate activities, milestones, and follow-up actions.\nAssist with contractor coordination and management as needed.\nMonitor purchase orders and invoicing to help ensure they remain current and accurate.\nPartner with cross-functional teams to support facility priorities and resolve operational issues.\nTrack improvement activities and help ensure actions are completed and sustained.\n\nWhat You Have (Basic Requirements):\nAccuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.\nAnalytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.\nLogistics Management: Knowledge of logistics and management; ability to follow proper processes and run operations for effective and efficient movement of materials and finished products.\nProblem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.\nWhat Will Set You Apart (Top Candidates Will Have):\nStrong organizational and time-management skills with excellent attention to detail.\nDemonstrated project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.\nAbility to independently drive projects and assignments with minimal oversight.\nStrong computer and technical skills, including comfort learning and working within warehouse systems.\nExperience with Blue Yonder warehouse management software or similar warehouse management systems.\nExperience supporting continuous improvement, Lean, or Six Sigma initiatives. \n\nWhat You Will Get:\nThis is Caterpillar - creating and delivering world-class components and solutions superior to the competition.
