In PSLD, as within all of Caterpillar, our priority is our customers and helping them build a better world. We touch nearly every element of the services value stream. PSLD is responsible for Aftermarket Parts Distribution of Cat Parts, Integrated Logistics and Global Services supporting Caterpillar dealers and customers. Our teams work together in critical areas that leverage digital capabilities, technology and operational excellence.\nAs a Logistics Planning Analyst, you will be responsible for managing supplier relationships and coordinating the flow of aftermarket parts to ensure dealer and customer demand is met. You will collaborate with suppliers, buyers, and engineering teams to resolve supply chain challenges, improve delivery performance, and maintain parts availability that helps keep Caterpillar machines operating in the field. Through proactive problem-solving and cross-functional partnership, you will play a key role in supporting a global aftermarket parts network.\n\nAdditional Information:\n Location: Morton, IL (United States)\n Required Travel: Less than 10% (Domestic)\nRelocation Assistance Offered: None\n US Work Sponsorship Offered: None\nThis role is 1st shift, Monday - Friday. This role will require the candidate to flex their schedule across shifts (as needed).\nThis role is 100% on-site with no opportunity for hybrid or remote schedules.\nWhat You Will Do:\nManage a portfolio of approximately 25 suppliers supporting aftermarket parts and ensure adequate supply to meet dealer and customer demand. \nCollaborate daily with suppliers to monitor production schedules, shipment status, and order fulfillment performance. \nDrive timely shipments of parts to U.S. Distribution Centers (DCs) to support machine uptime and minimize dealer and customer downtime. \nIdentify and resolve supply chain constraints resulting from high demand, supplier backlogs, or production capacity challenges. \nPartner closely with procurement buyers to address supplier issues, including increased costs, Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) concerns, and sourcing challenges. \n\nWhat You Have (Basic Requirements):\nAccuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision. \nAnalytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.\nLogistics Management: Knowledge of logistics and management; ability to follow proper processes and run operations for effective and efficient movement of materials and finished products.\nProblem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.\nSupplier Management - MFG: Knowledge of processes and methods to effectively manage business relationships and transactions with suppliers of raw materials or product components; ability to apply related knowledge, experience and skills into real practice.\nWhat You Will Get:\nThrough it all, we are one team - creating and delivering world-class components and solutions superior to the competition.
