Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it.\nThe Accounting Manager is a key role on the Corporate Accounting team supporting enterprise cash flow reporting, equipment lease accounting and financial statement preparation. In this role, you will lead the monthly preparation of Company’s cash flow statements, partner cross-functionally to ensure complex transactions are accurately recorded and serve has the subject matter expert for all responsibilities.\nWhat You Will Do:\nLead 1 direct report in the monthly preparation of multiple cash flow statements including the Consolidated Statement of Cashflows for Caterpillar Inc. \nFinancial accounting, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations and footnote disclosures for Caterpillar SEC filings (i.e., 10-Qs/10-Ks). \nWork with Technical Accounting Managers to ensure complex transactions are properly reflected within the statement of cash flow. \nParticipation on special projects and support of process improvement initiatives \nCommunicate effectively within the team and with internal and external customers and data providers, including presentations to all levels of management (e.g., Senior Director/CAO). \nChampion the use of new technologies and tools for analyzing financial data and driving efficiency improvements to monthly / forecasting processes. \nUpon request, take part in special projects and ad hoc reporting requests. \nWhat You Have:\nEducation/Experience: This position typically requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting and 6+ years of job-related experience \nAnalytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems. \nEffective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors. \nAccounting: Knowledge of accounting methods, processes, and tools; ability to maintain and prepare financial statements and reports using accounting methods and processes. \nFinancial Reporting: Knowledge of processes, methods, and tools of financial reporting; ability to create and maintain accurate and thorough financial reports. \nTop Candidates Will Also Have:\nProfessional Certification (Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or equivalent) \nPrior experience in Public Accounting (Big 4 a significant plus) \nKnowledge of the Caterpillar organization, its products, policies and procedures is a plus \nProven ability to manage large, complex accounting calculations/transactions \nAdditional Info:\nInternational and Domestic travel up to 5% \nSummary Pay Range:\n$128,470.00 - $192,710.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-relatedknowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.
