This position is included in the upcoming move.\n\n Work Schedule: Night Shift (Monday - Wednesday 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM Eastern Time)\n Required Travel: Up to 10% (Domestic)\nU.S Work Authorization Sponsorship Offered: No\nRelocation Assistance Offered: No\nWhat You Will Do: \nDetermine priorities of daily workload for value stream\nDetermine overtime needs, determine priorities when resources are insufficient, and decide when disciplinary action is necessary \nManage employee hours through appropriate time keeping system\nEnsure production meets safety, quality, velocity, and cost standards \nEnsure necessary parts and materials are ordered and distributed in a timely and efficient manner \nSuggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency \nWork to improve processes, timeliness and reduce costs by eliminating non-value added activities \nEnsure preventive maintenance is performed according to schedule \nImplement various corporate initiatives such as 5S, Lean Manufacturing, 6 Sigma, Internal Certification, etc \nMonitor and improvs safety in the warehouse; eliminating any unsafe operations and ensuring a safe and clean warehouse environment \nEvaluate, assess, and identify training needs of the workforce \nEnsure training and effective utilization of work force \nMust be able to work overtime as required\nPerform the following Caterpillar Production System (CPS)-related duties: Resource allocation to meet requirements \nTrains and models the CPS Guiding Principles \nDeploys process improvement dialogues \nDeploys Root Cause Corrective Action on issues that arise and drive continuous improvement\nReports section status and monitors and audits related metrics \nLeads efforts to develop and deploy standard work for each work area\n\nWhat You Have (Basic Requirements): \nDecision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.\nEffective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.\nPlanning and Organizing: Knowledge of the process of planning and arranging tasks and resources; ability to plan and organize both time and resources to get things completed while structuring and maintaining work in a systematic and highly methodical way.\nProblem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.\nService Excellence: Knowledge of customer service concepts and techniques; ability to meet or exceed customer needs and expectations and provide excellent service in a direct or indirect manner.\nWhat Will Set You Apart (Preferred Qualifications):\nCollege or university degree, in lieu of degree 2+ years of warehouse operations experience\n3+ years of leadership experience\nFamiliarity with CPS (Caterpillar Production System) and PQVC (People, Quality, Velocity, Cost) metrics\nWhat You Will Get:\nThis is Caterpillar - creating and delivering world-class components and solutions superior to the competition.
