With over 800 employees at the foundry, we are looking for someone who can support process development projects for the continuous improvement of safety, quality, velocity and cost of manufacturing.\nJob Summary:\nDevelops, implements and supports processes and practices for ensuring a plan for every part, Inventory Record Accuracy and appropriate and timely stock levels of materials, components and equipment needed to manufacture and deliver products for a focused facility.\nWhat You Will do:\nFurther develop IRA program and lineside material delivery for all direct materials.\nManaging relationships with internal customers, coordinating and integrating planning processes.\nDeveloping and continuously improving the accuracy of logistical needs, including onsite storage capacity, equipment needs and resource needs.\nSetting up, maintaining, and monitoring logistical processes and dependencies, including Bom’s, Routings and IRA.\nDegree Requirement:\nBachelor’s degree in supply chain management or equivalent experience\nWhat you will have:\nAccuracy and Attention to Detail: Working knowledge understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.\nData Gathering & Analysis: Working knowledge of data gathering and analysis tools, techniques, and processes; ability to collect and synthesize data from a variety of stakeholders and sources in an objective manner to reach a conclusion, goal, or judgment.\nDistribution Requirements Planning (DRP): Knowledge of the process, issues and considerations for systematically managing distribution of inventory for multiple plants or warehouses; ability to apply related knowledge and experience in real practice.\nInventory Management - MFG: Working knowledge of processes and methods of inventory management; ability to effectively manage local or distributed inventories of raw materials, work-in-progress and finished goods.\nSupply Chain Management - MFG: Working knowledge of functions, principles and techniques used in supply chain management; ability to develop and use, strategies, practices and tools for controlling the logistical processes.\nTop Candidates will also have:\nExperience with IRA process improvements.\nExperience with lineside material delivery and presentation.\n5s experience.\nMFG Pro Experience.\nExperience with managing hourly employees in a collective bargained facility.\nAdditional Information: \nThis is a 1st shift position in Mapleton, IL\nDomestic relocation assistance is available for this position. \nVisa sponsorship is not available for this position. \nFinal Details:\nPlease ensure you frequently sign in to your candidate home for any updates or correspondence for positions that you have applied for. https://cat.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/CaterpillarCareers . \nThis employer is not currently hiring foreign national applicants that require or will require sponsorship tied to a specific employer, such as, H, L, TN, F, J, E, O.
