Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it.\nRole Definition\nAssists with technical analysis of manufacturing processes in all aspects of production, costs, quality, compliance to safety guidelines, and environmental requirements for manufacturing.\nResponsibilities\nResponsible for assembly and testing processes for SEM axles and TTT Final Drive.\nSupport the implementation of the Drivetrain Assembly modern manufacturing strategy by promoting the application of advanced tightening technology, AI-based error proofing, Pick-by-Light, and automation projects in SEM axle and TTT Final Drive assembly operations.\nSupport NPI project activities by ensuring adequate assembly process readiness during new product introduction and enabling smooth project execution.\nLead the development of assembly and testing processes and provide daily technical support, including SWS/SWES, APQP, SFMEA, fixtures, lifting devices, and related activities.\nDrive improvements in productivity, quality, and cost by identifying opportunities in the assembly process and implementing corresponding improvement actions.\nSkill Descriptors\nCollaborative Automation: Knowledge of techniques and processes of collaborative automation; ability to develop and deploy solutions to automate manufacturing processes.\nLevel Basic Understanding:\nDescribes the concepts, features, and benefits of collaborative automation.\nDiscusses key considerations and issues in collaborative automation.\nHighlights the difference between collaborative robots and traditional robots.\nLists applications of collaborative automation such as material handling, product inspection, etc.\nManufacturing Processes: Knowledge of existing product manufacturing methods, technologies and processes; ability to execute, plan, manage and monitor the entire manufacturing process.\nLevel Basic Understanding:\nDescribes functional areas in a manufacturing facility.\nDescribes the roles and responsibilities of manufacturing areas and staff.\nIdentifies major phases and activities associated with a manufacturing cycle.\nObtains and interprets high-level manufacturing flow and documentation.\nProblem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.\nLevel Basic Understanding:\nExplains the value of a disciplined approach to problem solving.\nDescribes problem reporting and escalation practices.\nUtilizes accepted procedures for problem analysis and resolution.\nIdentifies key aspects of problem-solving techniques used in own area.\nThis position requires working onsite five days a week.Visa Sponsorship is not available for this position.Posting Dates:\nSeptember 15, 2026 - September 23, 2026Caterpillar is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
