Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it.\nManufacturing Process Engineer\nLocation: Gödöllő\nCaterpillar Hungary is looking for a Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our Manufacturing Engineering team.\nIf you enjoy taking ownership of projects from concept through implementation, turning ideas into practical manufacturing solutions, and collaborating across production, quality, supply chain, maintenance and engineering teams, this could be a great opportunity for you.\nIn this role, you will support and improve manufacturing processes while contributing to projects focused on capacity improvement, cost reduction, quality, optimization and manufacturing equipment investment. You will have the opportunity to see the direct impact of your work on our production environment.\nWhat You Will Do\nSupport day-to-day manufacturing processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality and process performance.\nParticipate in and lead small to mid-sized manufacturing projects, including capacity improvement, cost reduction, quality improvement, process optimization and manufacturing equipment investment projects.\nDesign and support the implementation of tooling, jigs and fixtures required for manufacturing.\nCoordinate more complex manufacturing equipment and fixture modifications, working closely with external suppliers and supporting investment activities.\nImprove manufacturing processes and technologies, including manual welding, robotic and automated processes and Lean manufacturing activities.\nSupport New Product Introduction (NPI) activities and prepare and maintain manufacturing-related product and process data in the ERP system.\nDevelop, maintain and update work instructions and process documentation, and support the training of employees on new or revised processes.\nCollaborate closely with production, quality, supply chain, maintenance and other engineering teams to solve manufacturing challenges and implement sustainable solutions.\nTake ownership of projects and improvements from initial idea through implementation.\nWhat Will Help You Succeed\nWe are looking for someone who can combine technical understanding with practical problem-solving and collaboration.\nYou will ideally bring:\nA BSc or MSc degree in an engineering or manufacturing-related field. Mechanical Engineering is preferred but not essential.\nPractical understanding of manufacturing methods, technologies and processes, or the ability to apply engineering knowledge in a manufacturing environment.\nEnglish language skills that allow you to work with technical documentation and communicate with international colleagues.\nWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.\nThe ability to analyze information, identify key issues and make well-reasoned decisions.\nA structured, systems-thinking approach to solving problems and improving processes.\nStrong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively across different functions.\nA proactive mindset, curiosity and a willingness to take ownership and initiative.\nThe ability to manage priorities and move projects and improvements from idea to implementation.\nSkills That Would Be an Advantage\nYou do not need to bring everything on this list. We would also value experience or knowledge in one or more of the following areas:\nPrevious experience in a manufacturing company or technical environment.\nExperience delivering or coordinating small to mid-sized projects.\nKnowledge of 3D design software and the ability to create or interpret basic designs.\nExperience with Excel VBA and/or Power BI.\nExposure to Lean manufacturing, automation, robotics or welding processes.\nExperience working with external suppliers on manufacturing equipment, tooling or investment projects.\nA solution-oriented and collaborative approach, with openness to new ideas and continuous improvement.\nWhat We Offer\nAt Caterpillar, your work contributes to building solutions that help our customers make progress around the world.
