Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it.\nJob Description\nAs a 3P51 Material Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting manufacturing operations by managing material flow, inventory accuracy, shipping and receiving activities, and warehouse operations throughout the facility. This position requires strong attention to detail, safe operation of material handling equipment, and the ability to work across multiple departments to ensure materials and finished goods are delivered accurately and on time.\nWhat You Will Do\nResponsibilities may include, but are not limited to:\nOperate forklifts, power trucks, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.\nReceive, store, move, and distribute materials throughout the facility.\nProcess inventory transactions and maintain accurate inventory records.\nSupport shipping and receiving operations, including preparing and verifying documentation.\nPerform cycle counts, inventory audits, and inventory reconciliation activities.\nWork with SAP and other systems to track material movement and inventory status.\nVerify material quantities, part numbers, and documentation accuracy.\nMaintain inventory of production supplies, consumables, and finished goods.\nAssist with material flow improvements to support production demands.\nFollow standard work procedures and maintain compliance with safety requirements.\nSupport 5S and continuous improvement initiatives within the work area.\nCollaborate with production, logistics, and leadership teams to resolve material shortages and inventory discrepancies.\nMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.\nRequired qualifications for Mapleton Seals Materials Specialist:\nBasic knowledge of manufacturing processes\nGood communication skills and strong commitment to safety and teamwork\nAbility to stand for prolonged periods of time\nAbility to work alone and with a team, managing time effectively\nTop candidates will also have:\nPrevious experience in a manufacturing environment\nBasic knowledge in reading and interpreting prints\nStrong understanding of machine and manufacturing principles\nAdditional Information:\n3rd shift: 11:00pm - 7:00am, Sunday - Thursday\nThis position does not offer relocation\nThis position requires no travel\nCandidates must be at least 18 years of age\nPositions are supplemental full-time\nCompetencies\nSafety Focus - Demonstrates a commitment to working safely, following procedures, identifying potential hazards, and contributing to a safe work environment.\nResponsibility & Dependability - Takes ownership of assigned work, follows through on commitments, maintains attendance standards, and consistently delivers quality results.\nTeamwork & Collaboration - Works effectively with others, communicates respectfully, supports team goals, and contributes to a positive and productive work environment.\nFunctional Expertise & Continuous Learning - Learns and applies job-related knowledge, follows established processes, solves routine work challenges, and adapts to new tools, equipment, and procedures.\nWhat we offer:\nCompetitive starting wages with scheduled wage increases\nDay one benefits\nEmployee national discounts\nDevelopment opportunities\nWhat to Expect After Applying:\n*Applicants that meet the qualifications will receive a call from our talent acquisition team to talk through your qualifications and answer questions you may have.\n*On-site interviews will be scheduled for candidates that pass the phone screen.\n* Safety is a core value at Caterpillar.
