Expect status updates.\nRequired Qualification for Consideration:\n2 years' experience in a mechanic or assembly field, heavy equipment assembly, or technical school with a focus in a mechanical or manufacturing field. \nRelevant experiences such as mechanical aptitude in a personal or professional setting must be described in application \nNo prior or current position restrictions or holds. \nTop Candidates Will Have:\n6 months minimum Caterpillar Paving experience \nHeavy assembly, manufacturing machines, Caterpillar manufacturing experience or automotive\nIntermediate or greater proficiency using electronic and digital devices and mediums\nExperience using mechanical tools including torque tools and operation of crane equipment \nUnderstanding of metric units, hydraulics and electrical components \nGood communication skills\nYour Role Day to Day:\nAs a Mechanical Technician team member, you will support facility initiatives and daily tasks focused on people, safety, quality, velocity and cost. As a team member, you will be responsible for safely assembling heavy paving products according to model pictures and build instructions utilizing mechanical tools, torque tools, metric units, hydraulics and electrical components within allotted process time. You will work with team members on identifying, electronically documenting and communicating opportunities for improvement, communicating discrepancies, and recommending solutions. Use of hand tools including wrenches, air tools, drills, cutters, tie wrap guns, pneumatic, vibratory, etc. Includes ability to pull manual torque tools to torque requirements (at least 250 Newton meters or 185-foot pounds).
