Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it.\nRole Summary\nThe PIM Data Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Product Information Management (PIM) solutions to ensure high-quality, accurate, and consistent product data across digital channels. The role involves data integration, transformation, governance, and optimization of product content to support eCommerce, marketing, and customer experience initiatives.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign and implement data models, workflows, and integrations within the PIM platform (Akeneo, Informatica P360).\nBuild and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest, cleanse, transform, and synchronize product data from multiple source systems.\nDefine and enforce data quality, governance, validation, and stewardship processes.\nDevelop scalable solutions for product hierarchy, taxonomy, attributes, and catalog management.\nMonitor, troubleshoot, and optimize PIM data processing and integration performance.\nCollaborate with business, product, and engineering teams to understand data requirements and support product onboarding initiatives.\nCreate technical documentation, data mappings, and integration specifications.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.\nStrong experience with PIM platforms, preferably Akeneo PIM.\nExperience in data modelling, ETL/ELT development, and data integration.\nProficiency in SQL and one or more programming languages (Java, Python, or Node.js).\nExperience with REST APIs, JSON, XML, and event-driven integrations.\nKnowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).\nUnderstanding of product catalog management, taxonomy, and master data management concepts.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExposure to Snowflake, Databricks, or modern data platforms.\nKnowledge of eCommerce product lifecycle and omnichannel content delivery.\nExperience with CI/CD, Git, and DevOps practices.\nKey Skills\nAkeneo PIM\nProduct Data Management (PDM)\nData Modelling\nSQL\nPython / Java\nREST APIs\nETL/ELT\nData Governance\nSnowflake\nAzure/AWS\nPosting Dates:\nOctober 18, 2026 - October 25, 2026Caterpillar is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
