He / She should know and specialized in the PCB design tools to create schematic,\nlayout, optimize designs for performance, to meet design requirements, specifications,\nmanufacturability and ensure compliance with industry standards. Also, the individual\ncollaborate with various engineering teams and requires strong understanding of electrical\nengineering principles, PCB fabrication, and assembly processes.\nRequired Experience: 8Yr and above in the PCB domain.\nResponsibilities and Duties:\nDesign and develop PCB layout which includes creating new design and modifying existing designs based on design team requirements and engineering specifications.\nCreate and prepare PCB documentation like detailed schematics, layouts, fabrication, assembly drawings and other necessary documentation for PCB manufacturing and assembly. Generate Gerber and assembly files for PCB fabrication and assembly.\nPerform design rule checks (DRC) and electrical rule checks (ERC) and ensure the PCB design meets industry standards and regulations for functionality and manufacturability.\nCollaborate with design team and engineers and work closely with electrical,\nmechanical, and other engineers to refine designs and resolve issues.\nRequired Qualification:\nBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field.\nExperience with PCB design software - Primary - Altium Designer, Secondary - Allegro /OrCAD.\nStrong foundation in basic electronics principles, including voltage, current, and impedance.\nKnowledge in PCB design principles, understanding of signal integrity, power distribution,thermal management, and relevant concepts.\nExperience in Analog, Digital, Mixed signal and High Voltage PCB designs.\nUnderstand the challenges in PCB design with both analog and digital circuits and implementing appropriate isolation and routing strategies.\nExperience in PCB Design with a minimum of 8 Layer and above.\nKnowledge in implementing strategies to reduce electromagnetic interference, such as shielding, filtering, and proper grounding.\nKnowledge in IPC standards, industry standards for PCB design and fabrication, such as IPC-2221, IPC-2152 and IPC-A-600.\nStrong problem-solving and analytical skills. The ability to identify and resolve complex design issues.\nProvide with innovative ideas and technical advancements in PCB design and related activities.\nKnowledge in PCB manufacturing and assembly processes to ensure the design can be built and function as intended.\nExcellent communication and collaboration skills. The ability to work effectively with design engineers, team members and stakeholders.\nDesired Qualifications:\nKnowledge in IPC standards, industry standards for ECAD library creation, such as IPC-7351.\nKnowledge in PCB simulation tools to analyse signal behaviour and identify potential issues like crosstalk, reflections, and impedance mismatches.\nKnowledge in high-speed signals PCB design, including techniques for minimizing signal degradation and EMI.\nKnowledge in PCB design translation from one ECAD tool to another ECAD tool.\nThis position requires working onsite five days a week.Relocation is available for this position.Posting Dates:\nCaterpillar is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
