With over 1.5 million connected assets worldwide, our teams use data, technology, advanced analytics, telematics, and AI capabilities to help our customers build a better, more sustainable world.\nJob Summary:\nThe Enterprise Payments Program Manager is part of a new team, the Enterprise Payments Center of Excellence (CoE) within Cat Digital, responsible for establishing, governing, and scaling Caterpillar’s enterprise payments strategy, standards, and coordination model.\nThis role coordinates execution across Caterpillar’s enterprise payments initiatives, serving as the central point of alignment for business unit program and project managers. While delivery remains within business units and product teams, the role enables consistent execution across the enterprise by aligning initiatives with enterprise strategy, governance decisions, payment standards, priorities, and sequencing.\nWhat You Will Do:\nManage enterprise payments program execution across initiatives, platforms, and business units.\nEnable consistent adoption of enterprise payment standards across business units by ensuring delivery teams are aligned to common approaches, sequencing, and priorities.\nCoordinate across:\nProduct teams\nEngineering teams\nTreasury, Tax, Legal, and ERP stakeholders\nOrchestrate coordination across business unit program/project managers, ensuring enterprise payment priorities, milestones, and governance decisions are consistently aligned and executed across federated delivery teams.\nEnsure alignment between enterprise governance decisions and BU-level execution, proactively identifying conflicts in prioritization, timelines, sequencing, or resource allocation.\nTracks and manages program milestones, risks and dependencies, and cross-functional impacts.\nManage enterprise payments intake pipeline and prioritization tracking, ensuring visibility across all initiatives.\nProvide executive-level reporting and status updates on enterprise payments initiatives.\nEnsure consistent translation of enterprise strategy and governance into scalable, repeatable delivery patterns across all participating teams.\nDrive strong execution discipline while maintaining flexibility across diverse business unit requirements.\nIdentify opportunities to standardize and streamline execution across initiatives, reducing duplication and improving delivery efficiency at scale.\nEstablish and maintain a single source of truth for enterprise payments initiative status, priorities, and dependencies.\nWhat You Will Have:\n\nPlanning (Tactical and Strategic): Experience translating business priorities into operational, tactical, and strategic plans. Develops integrated roadmaps that align scope, resources, milestones, dependencies, risks, and delivery commitments; monitors progress and adapts plans as priorities change.\nDecision Making and Critical Thinking: Demonstrated ability to analyze complex situations, organize relevant information, evaluate risks and alternatives, prioritize competing concerns, and make timely, informed decisions in ambiguous environments.\nData Gathering and Reporting: Experience overseeing data collection and analysis, validating information for accuracy, evaluating options, and translating complex project data into clear reports, insights, and recommendations for stakeholders and leadership.\nDigital Project Management: Extensive experience leading complex digital projects, aligning technical and business goals, managing quality and governance, and directing cross-functional teams. Applies project management practices and tools to manage schedules, resources, deliverables, risks, issues, dependencies, reporting, and communicates status, decisions, tradeoffs, and corrective actions.\nEffective Communications: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to provide concise status updates, communicate risks and decisions, and build trusted relationships with stakeholders and senior leaders.\nStrategic Thinking: Ability to translate strategy into actionable roadmaps and priorities, anticipate dependencies, evaluate tradeoffs, and align stakeholders.\nInitiative: Being proactive and committing to action on self-identified job responsibilities and challenges; ability to seek out work and the drive to accomplish goals.\nRequired Experience:\n5-8 years of experience in program or project management\nProven experience managing complex, cross-functional programs.\nStrong stakeholder management skills across both business and technical teams\nExperience operating within enterprise delivery models with multiple stakeholders.\nAbility to manage competing priorities across multiple initiatives simultaneously.\nConsiderations for Top Candidates:\nExperience in payments, fintech, ecommerce, or financial systems\nExperience working across multiple business units or regions in a federated model\nExperience coordinating multiple program/project managers (matrixed environment)\nFamiliarity with:\nPayment lifecycle flows (authorization, settlement, reconciliation)\nEnterprise platform delivery models\nExperience managing platform or infrastructure-related programs.\nStrong understanding of Agile and hybrid delivery methodologies\nStrong enterprise mindset - able to balance central standards with Business Unit flexibility\nComfortable managing ambiguity and aligning diverse stakeholders\nApplies an entrepreneurial mindset to create new ways of working, clarify roles and responsibilities, identifies gaps, solve problems and develop practical solutions\nWhat You Will Get\nWorking with a Fortune 100 leader, you can build your career on a global scale and take advantage of development opportunities with emerging technologies.
