Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it.\n Project Pipe Welder B \nAs a Pipe Welder, you will set up, operate and adjust manual and/or automatic machines to perform welding operations in all positions\nAdditional Information:\nUrgently hiring \nMultiple openings \nThis is a supplemental position located at the Solar Turbines manufacturing facility located in Channelview, TX \nNo relocation package is available \nJob Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:\nPerform Manual finish welding operations on carbon and stainless steel in all positions \nFollow documented procedures and standard work to perform safe and defect free operations \nPerform carbon arc cutting and gouging \nSanding may be required to prepare and dress welds \nUse of forklifts, pallet jacks, jib and overhead cranes to move and position work pieces \nRequired Qualifications:\nMust be able to pass multiple welder qualification tests \nMinimum of 6 months of experience in a production environment \nAbility to perform simple computer operations \nBe available to work 1st or 2nd shift \nAbility to work overtime to support production demands, including weekends \nDesired Qualifications:\nOne (1) to three (3) years of GTAW and FCAW welding experience \nTop Candidates:\nGood Communication Skills and strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork \nCombination Welder and Fitter \nLeadership Experience \nAbility to work well individually or in a team environment \n**Candidates may be placed on any shift, dependent on business needs**\nSummary Pay Range:\n$25.48 - $38.22\nCompensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.\nPlease note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.\nOpportunity for various Retention bonuses totaling $2500.\nEligibility for all retention bonuses are contingent on good standing in terms of performance and attendance.\nBenefits:\nSubject to plan eligibility, terms, and guidelines.
