The ideal candidate brings experience in software testing or a related field, strong manual testing skills, and an interest in expanding their expertise in test automation. This role partners closely with developers, product owners, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. You will contribute to both manual and automated testing efforts throughout the software development lifecycle.\nWhat You Will Do:\nPerform manual and exploration testing of web and mobile applications across platforms, devices, and browsers while validating functional, integration, sanity, and regression requirements.\nReview acceptance criteria, translate requirements into comprehensive test cases and scenarios, and participate in test planning, execution, and release validation activities.\nDevelop, maintain, and execute automated test suites using Playwright and WebDriverIO to improve quality and testing efficiency.\nIdentify, document, and track defects with clear reproduction steps while collaborating with developers and product owners to resolve issues quickly.\nDrive continuous improvement of test processes, automation coverage, visual regression testing practices, and overall product quality.\nWhat you will have:\nDecision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.\nEffective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.\nSoftware Development: Knowledge of software development tools and activities; ability to produce software products or systems in line with product requirements.\nSoftware Development Life Cycle: Knowledge of software development life cycle; ability to use a structured methodology for delivering and managing new or enhanced software products to the marketplace.\nSoftware Product Design/Architecture: Knowledge of software product design; ability to convert market requirements into software product design.\nSoftware Product Technical Knowledge: Knowledge of technical aspects of software products; ability to design, configure and integrate technical aspects of software products.\nSoftware Product Testing: Knowledge of software product testing; ability to design, plan, and execute testing strategies and tactics to ensure software product quality and adherence to stated requirements.\nSystem Testing: Knowledge of system and software testing; ability to design, plan and execute system testing strategies and tactics to ensure the quality of software at all stages of the system life cycle.\nConsideration for top candidates:\nExperience testing both web and mobile applications, including accessibility validation and awareness of accessibility standards.\nHands-on experience with Playwright, WebDriverIO, Sauce Labs, or similar cloud-based devices and browser testing platforms.\nWorking knowledge of JavaScript, object-oriented programming concepts, Git/GitHub, and automated test execution within CI/CD pipelines.\nExperience using Azure DevOps or similar defect tracking and test management solutions.\nStrong interest in adopting AI-assisted testing techniques to improve testing efficiency and effectiveness.\nAdditional Details:\nThis position requires the candidate to be in Chicago, IL or Peoria, IL\nRelocation assistance is NOT available for this position\nVisa sponsorship is NOT available with this position.\nThis position will require up to 5% travel\nSummary Pay Range:\n$97,530.00 - $158,480.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-relatedknowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.
