In this role, you will apply manufacturing engineering expertise to the integration, optimization, and reliability of industrial robotics, collaborative robots, automated work cells, machine vision, and supporting automation technologies.\nWhat you will Do\nIntegrate, optimize, and support industrial robots, collaborative robots, automated manufacturing equipment, and robotic work cells.\nIdentify and implement improvements that strengthen safety, quality, cost, throughput, ergonomics, and equipment reliability.\nEvaluate manufacturing operations for robotics and cobot opportunities, including application risk assessment and system testing.\nTroubleshoot robotic, automation, controls, sensor, and machine-vision issues using structured problem-solving and diagnostic methods.\nDevelop engineering specifications and support equipment installation, commissioning, maintenance, and process integration.\nResearch emerging robotics, machine-vision, sensor, and automation technologies for use in manufacturing.\nSupport automation projects through planning, cost and schedule coordination, equipment integration, stakeholder communication, and status reporting.\nCoach operations and technical personnel who support robotics and manufacturing automation systems.\nDegree Requirement\nDegree or equivalent experience desired\nWhat You Will Have\nRobotic Process Automation (RPA): Knowledge of techniques and processes of robotic process automation (RPA); ability to develop and deploy RPA solutions in various industries.\nLevel Working Knowledge:\nPerforms regular RPA tasks and activities for a specific business scenario, i.e., billing, claims processing, patient registration, ticket booking, service order management.\nUses appropriate tools, software (e.g., Robot Studio) and programming techniques to model, develop and deploy RPA.\nGathers business information and analyzes workflows for RPA preparation.\nEngineering - MFG: Knowledge of processes, techniques and methods of engineering in a manufacturing environment; ability to design and implement materials, structures, machines, devices, systems and processes that safely realize a desired objective or invention.\nLevel Working Knowledge:\nWorks with basic, routine components of the engineering discipline in manufacturing.\nPerforms basic installation, maintenance and repairs for a specific engineering function.\nFollows relevant standards, policies and practices in engineering operations.\nReports unusual engineering issues and considerations regarding manufacturing operations to senior staff.\nManufacturing Processes: Knowledge of existing product manufacturing methods, technologies and processes; ability to execute, plan, manage and monitor the entire manufacturing process.\nLevel Working Knowledge:\nAssesses associated phases, activities, deliverables and processes.\nDocuments relevant standards, policies and practices.\nFollows standard manufacturing processes to conduct production activities.\nResearches new technologies to be integrated into existing manufacturing process.\nExplains tools, techniques and documents used for process monitoring and control.\nProblem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.\nLevel Working Knowledge:\nIdentifies and documents specific problems and resolution alternatives.\nExamines a specific problem and understands the perspective of each involved stakeholder.\nDevelops alternative techniques for assessing accuracy and relevance of information.\nHelps to analyze risks and benefits of alternative approaches and obtain decision on resolution.\nUses fact-finding techniques and diagnostic tools to identify problems.\nWhat Will Put You Ahead\nWorking knowledge of manufacturing engineering, manufacturing processes, and automated production systems.\nExperience with industrial robotics, collaborative automation, controls technologies, machine vision, sensors, or related manufacturing automation.\nAbility to analyze technical problems, organize data, assess alternatives, and implement practical solutions.\nStrong collaboration, communication, and project-execution skills in a manufacturing environment.\nCommitment to safe equipment integration, reliable operations, continuous improvement, and lean manufacturing principles.\nThis Job Description is intended as a general guide to the job duties for this position and is intended for the purpose of establishing the specific salary grade.
