This position serves as an audit director for the Internal Auditing & Advisory Services team supporting all internal risk-based audits for one of Caterpillar’s primary segments.\nIAAS assists in improving enterprise effectiveness and efficiency by providing independent and objective assurance, risk management, process governance, internal control and related advisory services while being a trusted business partner.\nWhat You Will Do:\nServe as audit director for IAAS team\nResponsible for development of the segment internal audit plan targeting the highest risks\nLead audit teams through each audit phase including pre-scoping, planning & scoping, fieldwork and wrap-up & reporting\nPartner with segment and division teams to ensure appropriate action plans are developed and issues are remediated\nWhat You Have:\nEducation/Experience: Bachelor's degree in a business-related discipline plus significant progressively responsible job-related experience; Preferred experience includes: finance/accounting/auditing/compliance leadership experiences in a global team\nDecision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment\nCommunicating Complex Concepts: Knowledge of effective presentation tools and techniques to ensure clear understanding; ability to use summarization and simplification techniques to explain complex technical concepts in simple, clear language appropriate to the audience\nRisk Management: Knowledge of processes, tools and techniques for assessing and controlling an organization's exposure to risks of various kinds; ability to apply knowledge of risk management appropriately to diverse situations\nStakeholder Management: Knowledge of stakeholder management techniques; ability to systematically identify stakeholders, analyze their needs and expectations, and implement various tasks to engage with them\nAdditional Info:\nThe primary locations for this position are Irving, TX or Peoria, IL\nDomestic relocation assistance is available for those who qualify\nSponsorship is not available\nInternational and Domestic travel up to 20%\nThis position is eligible for stock or other equity grants pursuant to Caterpillar’s long-term incentive plan\nAbout Caterpillar\nFor more than a century, Caterpillar has helped build a better, more sustainable world.
