As an Autonomy Engineer focusing on autonomous mining trucks, you’ll collaborate with team members to develop new autonomous truck models and features that provide critical value to our customers. Every day you will work with your team to solve real world problems by selecting the right approach and bringing those solutions to production. We have a fabulous team that does some of the most exciting work at Caterpillar, and we can’t wait for you to join the team!\nResponsibilities\nOwn and lead autonomous hauling capabilities and improvement projects\nDesign and implement autonomous machine capabilities from requirements to production\nCollaborate within the hauling team, with process partners, and with SMEs to identify and evaluate potential solutions.\nDocument designs and break work down into team deliverables\nCoordinate delivery of improvements through development, validation, field trials, and into production.\nEstimate time and cost to enable prioritization and project management.\nTroubleshoot and resolve system level issues found in development, validation, or production.\nWhat you will have:\nTechnical Excellence: Knowledge of and experience with autonomous or robotics technology and associated application methods; ability to design and deliver solutions to significant technical challenges.\nProduct Design/Architecture: Knowledge of product design; ability to convert customer needs into product design.\nManaging Multiple Priorities: Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.\nEffective Communications: Understanding and application of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques.\nStrategic Thinking: Knowledge of the importance of \"big picture\" thinking and planning\nTop candidates will have:\nBachelors degree in an accredited Engineering or Computer Science curriculum\nStrong collaboration and organization skills.\nAbility to contribute to multiple complex projects, meeting timelines and deliverables\nExperience leading technology projects\nStrong foundation in mathematics and engineering fundamentals\nDevelopment or System Engineering experience in autonomy, robotics, or related industries\nAdditional Details:\nThis position requires the candidate to work full-time at the Dallas, TX office.\nDomestic relocation assistance is available for this position.\nVisa sponsorship is NOT available with this position.\n#LI\nSummary Pay Range:\n$112,710.00 - $183,140.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-relatedknowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.
