Don't miss this chance to join and support digital innovation for a global leader in heavy machinery!\nWhat will you do? \nAs the Senior Software Architect you will be responsible for defining functional designs and application systems architecture across various digital platforms. You will also:\nDevelop detailed architecture deliverables to solve business problems.\nOversee the architecture of cross-platform mobile applications and manage technical priorities.\nLead the evaluation and deployment of new technologies to add or enhance existing digital technical capabilities. \nTranslate business requirements into technical direction, provide leadership and mentoring to engineering teams, facilitate design discussions, and guide cross-functional teams toward digital solutions that meet business objectives.\nCoordinate with upstream teams and stakeholders, assess dependencies for upcoming changes, and determine which capabilities should be implemented in the BFF, reused from existing upstream services, or shared across services.\nSupport bug triage and coordinate the resolution of complex problems that require fixes across multiple teams.\nEnsure that solutions address security, performance, reliability, scalability, observability, and maintainability requirements.\nThis position works directly with Slovakia based engineering leadership and Cat Digital IT in the US.\nWhat you have:\nBackground and experience:\nIncremental modernization and continuous improvement: ability to assess the gap between the current and desired state, make pragmatic trade-offs, and define measurable steps toward improvement across short-, medium-, and long-term horizons.\nEffective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors \nAnalytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems. \nApplication Design, Architecture: Knowledge of basic activities and deliverables of application design; ability to utilize application design methodologies, tools and techniques to convert business requirements and logical models into a technical application design. \nData Architecture: Knowledge of processes, techniques and factors that affect data architecture; ability to design blueprints on how to integrate data resources for business processes and functional support. \nIT Architecture: Knowledge of Information Technology (IT) architecture; ability to design and improve organizational IT structures, supporting business operations. \nPlatform Architecture: Knowledge of technologies and methods to design processing mechanisms and roadmaps to execute business application systems; ability to design these roadmaps and deploy supportive interfaces for end-users to access related systems, in accordance with standards and processes. \nExperience leading responsive design application development teams. \nExperience with React Native \nVery good knowledge of JavaScript, and Git. \nUnderstanding of REST APIs, document request model. \nExcellent communication skills. \nTop Candidates will also have:\nFormal education in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field. \nPassion for design systems, code reusability and maintainability. \nInterest in cross-platform mobile development. \nLeadership experience on strategic projects.\nWhat we offer: \nAt Cat Digital, we are committed to fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning, and we believe in investing in the development of our employees.
