You will work closely with UX specialists, Product Owners, architects and other engineers to translate customer needs and designs into high-quality digital products.\nWhile this role is primarily front-end focused, you will also bring practical Python backend development experience, enabling you to develop or modify APIs and backend services when required and work effectively across the full application stack.\nThis is a hands-on senior development role for someone who combines strong front-end engineering skills with good software design principles, an eye for user experience and enough backend capability to deliver end-to-end solutions when needed.\nWhat you will be involved in:\nDesign, develop, test and maintain modern web applications using React, Angular and TypeScript.\nBuild responsive, intuitive and accessible user interfaces that deliver high-quality customer experiences.\nTranslate UX designs, prototypes and business requirements into scalable and maintainable front-end solutions.\nDevelop reusable front-end components, patterns and libraries that improve consistency and development efficiency across products.\nContribute to front-end architecture, application structure, technology choices and engineering standards.\nOptimise applications for performance, reliability, usability and maintainability.\nIntegrate front-end applications with APIs, data services, MineStar capabilities and other enterprise platforms.\nDevelop and maintain Python backend services and APIs when required, supporting end-to-end application delivery.\nWork with AWS cloud services to develop and deploy scalable digital applications.\nCollaborate closely with Product Owners, UX specialists, architects and engineers to translate customer and business needs into practical technical solutions.\nApply strong engineering practices across automated testing, code quality, security, performance, observability and maintainability.\nParticipate in code reviews and technical design reviews, providing constructive guidance and promoting consistent engineering standards.\nTroubleshoot complex front-end, integration and production issues and drive them through to resolution.\nContribute to continuous improvement of development practices, tools, standards and reusable components.\nMentor and support other developers while contributing to a collaborative engineering culture.\nWork with globally distributed teams and delivery partners to deliver reliable and supportable solutions.\nWhat We're Looking For\nWe're seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer from a Mining background, with deep front-end engineering capability and the ability to contribute across the broader application stack when required.\nFront-end expertise is the priority for this role.\nYou will bring:\nDegree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.\nSignificant experience delivering production-grade web applications.\nStrong development experience with React and Angular, including large-scale, maintainable applications.\nStrong capability in TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML and CSS.\nExperience with responsive design, accessibility, front-end performance and modern UX practices.\nExperience developing reusable components and maintainable front-end architectures.\nExperience integrating applications with REST APIs and data services.\nPractical Python backend development experience, including APIs and services.\nExperience developing cloud-based applications using AWS.\nStrong understanding of software engineering practices, automated testing, source control and CI/CD.\nStrong problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills.\nExperience mentoring developers and contributing to engineering standards.\nHighly regarded experience includes:\nModern front-end state management, component libraries, design systems and automated testing.\nExperience working with SQL Server and PostgreSQL, including database integration and querying.\nPython APIs, microservices and cloud-native development.\nServerless, containerised or event-driven architectures on AWS.\nData, analytics, automation or AI-enabled applications.\nMining, industrial or operational technology experience.\nKnowledge of MineStar™ or comparable mining technology platforms.\nExperience working with globally distributed engineering teams.\nWhy Join Us?\nThis is an opportunity to help shape the digital experiences used to support the future of mining, applying modern front-end technologies alongside cloud, automation, analytics and AI.\nYou'll work on real-world engineering challenges with global impact, alongside experienced UX, product, mining and technology professionals.
