The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable applications. Experience in Manufacturing or Supply Chain domains is a strong advantage.\nThe preference for this role is to be based out of Bangalore - Caterpillar PSN\nThis position requires candidate to work a 5-day -a -week schedule.\nShift Timing : 01:00-10:00PM IST\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, develop, and maintain full stack Java applications, including both frontend and backend components.\nCross collaboration with different teams to enhance applications from legacy components to latest updated frameworks/architectures and design patterns.\nEnsure the scalability, performance, and reliability of applications.\nManage applications source code with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.\nAdhere to security directives and enable security concepts in application lifecycle, vulnerability remediation processes and minimize overall risk for the enterprise solutions.\nCompetent to perform all programming, project management, and development assignments without close supervision.\nWorks directly on complex application/technical problem identification and resolution, including responding to off-shift and weekend support calls.\nParticipate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to maintain code quality.\nSupport and enhance existing applications.\nContribute to architectural decisions and technology selection.\nDocument software designs, processes, and implementation details.\nStay current with emerging technologies and industry trends.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.\nExperience with design, analysis, programming, integration, debugging, testing, and implementation activities to deliver software solutions to business.\nProven experience in Java development for both frontend and backend systems.\nStrong experience with Angular.\nExperience with Spring boot, Hibernate, and other Java frameworks.\nKnowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.\nFamiliarity with relational databases and SQL.\nExperience with architecture and design of large-scale systems with focus on performance, scalability, high-availability, reliability, and fault tolerance.\nExperience using AI tools like Microsoft Copilot for software development and testing. Understanding and experience in using AI/GenAI for automation.\nExperience with security concepts implementation in application development and deployment on Cloud platforms such as AWS.\nExperience with vulnerability remediation and ability to automate security measures in application development.\nExcellent problem-solving and analytical skills.\nStrong communication and collaboration abilities.\nKnowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.\nPreferred Skills\nExperience working in Manufacturing or Supply Chain domains.\nUnderstanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.\nExposure to Agile development methodologies.\nAbility to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.\nKnowledge in AWS Glue, Step Functions, Lambdas, Athena, S3, AWS RDS MySQL, ECR\nExperience with implementing SonarQube, CodeQL, Artifactory/XRay, Fortify tools.\nAWS Certification (e.g., AWS Certified Developer)\nFamiliarity with Docker / Kubernetes\nSkill Descriptors\nDecision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.\nLevel Working Knowledge:\nApplies an assigned technique for critical thinking in a decision-making process.\nIdentifies, obtains, and organizes relevant data and ideas.\nParticipates in documenting data, ideas, players, stakeholders, and processes.\nRecognizes, clarifies, and prioritizes concerns.\nAssists in assessing risks, benefits and consideration of alternatives.
