Develops, implements, and manages supply chain strategies and solutions.\nResponsibilities\nMaintaining communications with operations, procurement, logistics, and distribution. Creating integrated processes to streamline supply chains.\nInteracting with sales, engineering, and facilities management on production schedules and expected deliverables.\nManaging and directing the logistics specialists, including training, hiring, and coaching.\nEstablishing key performance metrics and benchmarks to guide supply chain planning and forecasting; monitoring planned vs. actual performance and presents results to senior management.\nSkills you have\nAnalytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.\nDecision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.\nForecasting: Knowledge of forecasting tools, approaches and practices; ability to determine product demand and estimate production requirements and loads.\nInventory Management - MFG: Knowledge of processes and methods of inventory management; ability to effectively manage local or distributed inventories of raw materials, work-in-progress and finished goods.\nLogistics Management: Knowledge of logistics and management; ability to follow proper processes and run operations for effective and efficient movement of materials and finished products.\nManufacturing Requirements Planning (MRP): Knowledge of the processes, practices and systems used in manufacturing requirements planning (MRP); ability to optimize planning for manufacturing cycles and ensure capacity and materials availability.\nStrategic Thinking: Knowledge of the importance of \"big picture\" thinking and planning; ability to apply organizational acumen and competitiveness to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization.\nSupplier Management - MFG: Knowledge of processes and methods to effectively manage business relationships and transactions with suppliers of raw materials or product components; ability to apply related knowledge, experience and skills into real practice.\nBasic Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.\nExtensive experience in supply chain, operations, manufacturing, procurement, or logistics leadership roles.\nDemonstrated leadership experience managing leaders and multiple functional teams.\nExperience leading supply chain operations within a manufacturing or assembly environment.\nExperience with SIOP (Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning), production planning, inventory management, and supplier management processes.\nStrong business acumen and financial understanding of inventory, productivity, cost, and operational performance metrics.\nProven ability to influence across functions and lead in a matrix organization.\nEffective communication and executive presentation skills.\nAdvanced English proficiency.\nTop Candidates Will Also Have\nMaster's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.\nExperience in a large, global manufacturing organization.\nExperience supporting complex assembly manufacturing operations.\nDemonstrated success leading supply chain transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.\nExperience managing global supplier networks and supply chain risk mitigation.\nLean Manufacturing and Six Sigma knowledge or certification.\nExperience implementing supply chain digitalization, analytics, and planning solutions.\nDemonstrated success developing high-performing teams and future leaders.\nInternational or global business experience.\nNote: This position requires the candidate to work onsite five days a week.\nThis position requires working onsite five days a week.Relocation is available for this position.Visa sponsorship is available for eligible applicants.Posting Dates:\nOctober 29, 2026 - November 8, 2026Caterpillar is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
