Join our team and help build engineering solutions that change the industry.\nThe Role\nThe Shop Technician I primarily works in the shop making repairs to oilfield equipment as required.\nPay Starts at $19.85. Can be adjusted with experience.\nSchedule: 6:00am-4:00pm Monday through Friday, and every other Saturday with the opportunity for overtime. On-call periods will be required.\nWhat you will do:\nProvide our customers with excellent engineering solutions through our products and superior customer service\nEffectively demonstrate the core values of SPM Oil & Gas at all times\nAssemble and break down, clean new or used equipment, inspect, repair and test grease and paint equipment\nRead and follow standard operating procedures\nExecute general shop maintenance such as cleanup of the shop, work area, and equipment\nPerform shipping and receiving responsibilities\nBe responsible for the safety of self and others including reporting of all work-related injuries, near misses, equipment damage and unsafe acts to supervisor or senior technician as soon as practicable\nTroubleshoot, repair, reassemble and test equipment based on customer communications\nMaintain SPM Oil & Gas company supplied assets and any other equipment, including site specific equipment, as it relates to company policy\nMaintain a professional appearance and work attitude at all times\nDemonstrate the ability to perform independently or in a team setting\nFollow all written policies and procedures safely without deviation or refer to upper management for guidance\nExhibit and advocate exemplary safety culture at all times\nExhibit a high degree of integrity at all times\nAdhere to and exercise Stop Work Authority and Management of Change\nPerforms other duties as assigned\nWhat you will have:\nThree months of equivalent work experience or training\nDemonstrate consistency, accountability, reliability, and solid work ethic\nWorking knowledge of oil and gas equipment\nPrevious experience with hand tools, power tools and air tools\nPhysical Demands:\nFrequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear\nRequired to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl\nMust occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds\nSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus\nMust be able to wear protective footwear and other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by the department\nWork Environment:\nRegularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles\nFrequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions\nOccasionally exposed to high, precarious places and vibration\nNoise Level: Moderate \nSummary Pay Range:\n$19.85 - $26.55Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-relatedknowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.
