This role requires strong technical expertise in automation frameworks (Playwright & Selenium), and the ability to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, reliable web solutions.\nWhat You Will Do\nLeadership & Strategy\nDefine and implement the overall QA strategy aligning with product and organizational goals.\nEnsure best practices and skills are developed.\nCoordinate QA activities across Project Operations modules, ensuring clarity of scope and priorities.\nFacilitate triage calls, team meetings, and cross-functional collaboration with stakeholders.\nAutomation Framework Ownership\nDesign, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks using Playwright, Selenium, and RestAssured (Java/Python preferred).\nUpgrade or optimize existing frameworks for reliability, maintainability, CI/CD compatibility, and container-based test execution.\nEnable tagging, modularization, and classification of failures to support large-scale execution across Foresight modules.\nTest Planning & Execution\nPrepare, review, and maintain QA artifacts (test plans, cases, regression suites, reports).\nEnsure complete test coverage-functional, integration, API, end-to-end, performance, and batch job validation.\nOversee defect triage, prioritization, and root cause analysis.\nCoordinate environment setup, test execution, and regression cycles across Dev/UAT/Prod releases.\nPerformance & Reliability Oversight\nCollaborate with performance engineers to define SLAs and gather non-functional requirements.\nMonitor bottlenecks & flakiness\nIntegrate performance regressions into CI/CD pipelines for timely detection of issues.\nContinuous Integration / DevOps Coordination\nEnable development teams with regression test suites for shift-left validation of breaking changes.\nImplement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated test execution in Azure DevOps and GitHub.\nSupport deployments, verification cycles, and parallel release testing across development environments.\nReporting & Governance\nTrack KPIs such as defect density, test coverage, execution reliability, and automation ROI.\nPrepare dashboards, quality reports, and provide regular updates to stakeholders.\nManage risks, dependencies, and ensure timely delivery of quality outcomes.\nWhat You Will Have\nTechnical Expertise\nStrong expertise in automation tools: Playwright, Selenium WebDriver, RestAssured, Robot Framework.\nProgramming skills: Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python.\nFrameworks: Page Object Model (POM), BDD (Cucumber).\nAPI testing:Bruno, Swagger, RestAssured.\nCI/CD & DevOps: GitHub, Azure DevOps pipelines, release management.\nPerformance tools awareness: JMeter, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, DataDog, CloudWatch.\nSoft Skills & Competencies\nStrong ownership mindset and ability to lead testing across multiple Foresight features.\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management.\nProven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile and hybrid environments.\nAbility to analyze complex issues, propose solutions, and drive continuous improvement.\nConsiderations for Top Candidates\nHands-on experience with web based application automation\nAdvanced debugging and troubleshooting skills for web based test automation.\nExperience building automated test scripts using Playwright \nSkilled in environment troubleshooting, regression cycles, and upgrade readiness validation.\nAbility to prepare clear test design documents, reusable QA templates, and developer guides for team adoption.\nStrong knowledge of batch job validation, workflow automation, and performance tuning.\nExperience with data migration testing using DMF/Data Management Framework and validation of large transactional datasets.\nProficiency in API testing (OData, REST/SOAP, AIF/DMF).\nExposure to CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps for automated regression cycles and release validation.\nAbility to conduct peer reviews of test automation scripts, enforce coding standards, and ensure compliance with Microsoft best practices.\nSkilled in preparing dashboards and test coverage reports for stakeholders, highlighting automation ROI and defect density.\nFamiliarity with upgrade readiness testing, hotfix validation, and ensuring compatibility of customizations during cumulative updates.\nExperience\n4 - 7+ years of QA experience with at least 3+ years in an automation-focused role.\nProven experience in enterprise-scale web applications, including cloud platforms and multi-app ecosystems.\nThis position requires working onsite five days a week.Relocation is available for this position.Posting Dates:\nOctober 2, 2026 - October 5, 2026Caterpillar is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
