Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it.\nRole Summary:\nThe Software Test Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) applications through effective test planning, automation, and execution. This role focuses on developing and maintaining automated test solutions, supporting QA processes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver stable and scalable ERP solutions.\nWhat You Will Do:\nQuality Engineering & Execution:\nParticipate in defining and implementing QA strategies aligned with F&O project needs.\nDevelop, execute, and maintain test cases, test scripts, and regression suites.\nSupport functional, integration, API, and end-to-end testing efforts.\nAssist in validating batch jobs, workflows, and business processes across F&O modules.\nTest Automation:\nDesign, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Leap work, Playwright, Selenium, or similar frameworks.\nContribute to enhancing automation frameworks for scalability and maintainability.\nExecute automated regression suites and analyze failures.\nSupport tagging, modularization, and reusability of automation assets.\nDefect Management:\nIdentify, log, and track defects using standard tools.\nParticipate in defect triage discussions and root cause analysis.\nRetest fixes and ensure closure of defects with proper validation.\nCollaboration & Agile Practices:\nWork closely with developers, business analysts, and functional teams to understand requirements.\nParticipate in sprint ceremonies (planning, stand-ups, retrospectives).\nSupport UAT cycles and assist stakeholders in validation activities.\nCI/CD & DevOps Support:\nExecute automated test suites within CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub).\nSupport build validation and release testing activities.\nAssist in maintaining test environments and test data setup.\nReporting & Documentation:\nMaintain QA artifacts including test cases, execution reports, and defect logs.\nProvide updates on test progress, quality metrics, and risks.\nEnsure proper documentation of test scenarios and automation scripts.\nWhat You Will Have:\nTechnical Skills:\nFamiliarity with automation tools such as Leapwork, Playwright, Selenium WebDriver, or Robot Framework.\nBasic programming knowledge in Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python.\nUnderstanding of automation frameworks such as Page Object Model (POM) or BDD (Cucumber).\nExperience with API testing tools (Postman, Swagger, or similar).\nExposure to CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.\nDomain Knowledge:\nBasic understanding of Dynamics 365 F&O modules (Finance, Supply Chain, or Project Operations) is preferred.\nSoft Skills:\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nGood communication and collaboration abilities.\nAbility to work in Agile and team-oriented environments.\nWillingness to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience with ERP or enterprise applications testing.\nExposure to performance testing tools such as JMeter (basic knowledge).\nUnderstanding data validation, integration testing, or data migration testing.\nExperience in test automation within cloud-based environments.\nExperience:\n4-7 years of experience in software testing, with at least 2-3 years in automation.\nCertifications (Optional):\nISTQB or equivalent QA certification.\nBasic understanding of Dynamics 365 certifications (MB-310 / MB-320 / MB-330).\nPosting Dates:\nOctober 19, 2026 - October 20, 2026Caterpillar is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
