Supporting Customers from concept design, manufacture and distribution.\nWe are building on the success of this footprint to support our customer needs across a broader Worldwide geography.\nThe purpose of Power Solutions network is to provide the Supplier management and integration in region.\nThe Power Solutions Network team’s purpose is to develop and manage the network of 3rd party Suppliers across sub regions.\nAccountable for operating and monitoring the Global Supply Network, as designed, to meet the defined quality targets enabling optimal and efficient facility operations, collaborating with business partners and suppliers as the Relationship Manager for resolving supplier quality issues. From the initial concern, the Supplier Development Engineer will identify, contain and ultimately eliminate the defect. Skills that will be required include Root-Cause-Corrective-Action Analysis (RCCA), 8D, rework and containment plans, and strong communication and collaboration with suppliers.\nWhat You Will Do:\nManage supplier quality performance and KPI and supplier quality improvement plans\nSupport technical evaluation during the selection process\nPerform audits - Internal, Third party and Customers\nOnsite support to manage in process quality - Zero defect initiatives\nSupport Factory witness and Acceptance tests.\nFacilitate dealer coordination for managing onsite Genset issues\nSupport Warranty claim process.\nWhat You Have:\nEffective Communications both in English and Chinese: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.\nProblem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.\nProcess Improvement: Understanding and insight into evaluating current product quality and production methods and ability to maintains focus on the continuous improvement of processes, products and services.\nQuality Orientation: Knowledge of quality management methods, tools, and techniques; ability to create and support an environment that meets the quality goals of the organization.\nSupplier Management - MFG: Knowledge of processes and methods to effectively manage business relationships and transactions with suppliers of raw materials or product components; ability to apply related knowledge, experience and skills into real practice.\nSupplier Evaluations and Certification: Knowledge of supplier evaluations and certification; ability to identify the methods, tools and documentation for evaluating, selecting and certifying vendors, suppliers and partners.\nCapabilities in understanding package design and specifications\nExperience in electric power genset packaging\nAdditional information:\nTrave: around 50% business travel mainly in China and within APAC\nThis position requires the candidate to work a 5-day-a-week schedule in the office.\nAbout Caterpillar\nCaterpillar Inc. is the world’s leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, off-highway diesel and natural gas engines, industrial gas turbines and diesel-electric locomotives.
