We’re exploring new ideas and opportunities -innovating to discover the breakthroughs necessary for tomorrow’s growth.\nThrough it all, we are one team - creating and delivering world-class components and solutions superior to the competition.\nLearn more about the Caterpillar Experience.\nJob Summary:\nAs aTeam Lead, you will assist the Section Manager in leading Team members, coordinating and delegating workflow and overseeing day to day operation of area; promoting cooperative team relationships, establishing and modifying priorities, gathering metrics, generating reports, overseeing work for multiple job classifications, etc. Occasionally performing various warehousing functions at a Caterpillar warehouse/distribution facility.\n\nAdditional Info:\nThis position requires the candidate to work a 5 day-a-week schedule in the Clayton Office\nPosition will be on 3rd Shift (11:00pm - 7:00am)\nThere will be a $1.50 pay differential for being on 3rd Shift\nWhat You Will Do:\nCoordinate with logistics and external carriers to set up expedited shipment.\nInterface with customer and coordinate voice of customer to logistics team to improve processes\nLead meetings with multifunctional team to track performance and drive results\nOversee management of zones through targeting aged inventory, leading reconciliation and investigating root cause\nRegularly lead problem-solving events to drive continuous improvement\nAccountable for tracking quality metrics and meeting Safety, Quality, Velocity and Cost goals\nLead investigations on customer reported defects, including internal logistics customers\nOccasionally utilizing heavy equipment, reach trucks, sit-down forklifts and overhead crane\nOccasionally perform material handling and warehousing functions as required\nWork independently with minimal supervision\nAbility to work OT when required\nLead team meetings guiding daily priorities and change management\nDemonstrating safety excellence and enforcing safety policies and procedure\nContinuously managing training matrix to ensure team flexibility \nBasic and/or Desired Qualifications may include, but are not limited to:\nStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively deliver training and safety presentations. \nExcellent written and verbal communications skills \nDemonstrated proficiency in mathematical and analytical skills.
