With access to cutting-edge technology and a culture that champions continuous improvement and professional growth, this is an opportunity to make a tangible impact while building a better world.\nAdditional Info\nShift: Regular\nWork Location: Batam, Kepulauan Riau\nTravel Requirement: No\nYou will work both in an office and manufacturing shop-floor environment.\nDomestic relocation is available for this position.\nWhat You Will Do:\nTraining and developing teams capable of completing business objectives and performing and supporting the plant operating functions. \nCoordinating tool design, assembly, manufacturing processing, cost estimating, systems planning, layout, standards, releasing, etc. \nCoordinating capital projects for process enhancement and to improve customer satisfaction, conducting research and ensuring proper approvals. \nCoordinating the installation of new machines and equipment and process changes to provide the most efficient and economical manufacture or assembly of quality parts. \nWhat Skills You Have:\nManufacturing Processes: Knowledge of existing product manufacturing methods, technologies and processes; ability to execute, plan, manage and monitor the entire manufacturing process. \nManufacturing Safety: Knowledge of manufacturing safety; ability to identify work-related hazards and perform necessary activities to meet regulatory requirements for the safety and protection of workers, environment and site. \nJudgment, Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process; ability to carefully evaluate the impact of emerging business situations and choose the best path forward communicating actions and activities that maximize organizational performance. \nCapacity Planning & Management: Knowledge of tools, approaches and practices for determining production demand and ability to manage resources needed to provide satisfactory levels of service. \nLean Manufacturing: Knowledge of philosophy, principles and implementation approaches of lean manufacturing; ability to integrate and implement lean manufacturing philosophy into existing production and management processes. \nWhat Will Set You Apart:\nEducational Background: Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline. \nExperience Minimum of 5 years of experience in similar role. Preferably, prior experience working in a manufacturing environment, particularly in heavy machinery or large components with machining processes. \nLanguage Proficiency: Proficiency in English is essential. \nTechnical Expertise: Strong knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), Numerical Control (NC) programming using Siemens Controller and G-Code program, and cutting tool selection and optimization. \nProficient in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools such as Creo.\n\nProcess Knowledge: Familiarity with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and continuous improvement initiatives to improve OEE. \nProven experience in managing departmental functions related to capital projects, including cost control, budgeting, and resource planning to ensure alignment with organizational goals. \nPhysical Requirements (With or Without Reasonable Accommodation):\nThis job requires extensive active movement throughout the plant including climbing stairs and steps, lifting devices, and pushing and pulling equipment. \nWhat You Will Get\nOur goal at Caterpillar is for you to have a rewarding career.
