Primary responsibilities include developing product requirements, technical solutions, and engineering roadmaps with an emphasis on maximizing solution re-use, customer value and enterprise value.\nWhat You Will Do:\nMaximize the value of the product and define work for multiple scrum teams. Collaborate with Product Owners, System Engineering, Data and Analytics Architects & Platform Architects to own and progressively elaborate functional and non-functional Epics and Features for the Development Teams to deliver. The Product Manager is empowered to make all decisions regarding the Technical Product Backlog.\nResponsible for maximizing the value of the product and the work of the Development Team\nResponsible for acting as Product Manager for larger, more complex projects with high value to the organization\nResponsible for creating, maintaining and prioritizing the Product Backlog according to business value for the life of the project\nCommunicate Product Backlog priorities to the team\nAct as the key decision-maker regarding what features the product will have\nResponsible for product vision and conveying that vision to the team\nOwns definition of acceptance criteria for product features\nWork closely with key stakeholders throughout the organization\nResponsible for making decisions on release dates and content\nRepresent the customer, interfacing and engaging with the customer\nCommunicates releases to stakeholder and customers\nEmployee is also responsible for performing other job duties as assigned by Caterpillar management from time to time.\nWhat You Will Have:\nBusiness Analysis: Knowledge of business analysis and the set of tasks, techniques and tools required to identify business needs; ability to recommend solutions that deliver value to stakeholders.\nDecision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.\nEffective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.\nSoftware Product Business Knowledge: Knowledge of and experience with the business aspects and operation of a software product; ability to manage install base, current uses, future plans, and product vision.\nSoftware Engineering: Knowledge of software engineering methodologies and best practices.\nConsideration For Top Candidates:\nLead programs from product strategy and building roadmaps.\nAt least 4 years of experience in Product Management in the software space.\nData analytics and commercializing APIs\nBusiness level Product Management (Applications or data platform) \nCat domain knowledge\nAdditional Details:\nThis position requires the candidate to be based in either Chicago, IL or Peoria, IL\nRelocation assistance is NOT available for this position\nVisa sponsorship is NOT available with this position.\nSummary Pay Range:\n$128,470.00 - $208,770.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-relatedknowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.
