PSLD is responsible for Aftermarket Parts Distribution of Cat Parts, Integrated Logistics and Global Services supporting Caterpillar dealers and customers. Our teams work together in critical areas that leverage digital capabilities, technology and operational excellence.\nAs aTransportation Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting and improving the technology solutions that enable global ground transportation operations. You will serve as a subject matter expert for transportation management systems, including Blue Yonder and internal transportation platforms, ensuring systems remain operational, effective, and aligned with business needs. In this role, you will partner with technical and business teams to troubleshoot system issues, identify and implement enhancements, and drive continuous improvement through analytics, automation, and AI. You will also contribute to long-term, project-based initiatives focused on improving transportation processes, increasing efficiency, and establishing consistent global standards, while providing timely support when critical system issues arise.\n\nAdditional Information:\nThis role is located in Morton, IL and does not offer relocation or sponsorship.\nThis role is 1st shift, Monday - Friday.\nThis role is 100% on-site with no opportunity for hybrid or remote schedules.\nThis role requires up to 10% domestic and/or international travel.\nWhat You Will Do:\nServe as a subject matter expert for transportation systems, including Blue Yonder, with a focus on system development and automation.\nSupport and enhance transportation management systems and related technology used by global transportation teams.\nTroubleshoot system issues, identify bugs, and partner with technical teams to implement fixes and enhancements.\nLead continuous improvement efforts to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and drive standardization.\nIdentify opportunities to leverage automation, analytics, and AI within transportation processes.\nPartner with business and technical teams to translate operational needs into system solutions and enhancements.\nSupport system implementations and ensure solutions align with business requirements and operational standards.\nDevelop and document system processes and provide training and support to end users.\nManage long-term strategic projects while responding to urgent system and operational issues as needed.\n\nWhat You Have (Basic Requirements):\nAccountability: Understanding the importance of taking personal responsibility; ability to take personal responsibility for assignments, decisions and results, and focus on activities that have the greatest impact on meeting work commitments.\nAccuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.\nAnalytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.\nData Gathering & Analysis: Knowledge of data gathering and analysis tools, techniques, and processes; ability to collect and synthesize data from a variety of stakeholders and sources in an objective manner to reach a conclusion, goal, or judgment.\nProblem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.\nWhat Will Set You Apart (Top Candidates Will Have):\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field\nExperience with transportation, logistics, or supply chain operations\nExperience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS), preferably Blue Yonder\nExperience supporting, configuring, or improving business systems and applications\nStrong process automation and continuous improvement experience\nAbility to translate business needs into requirements and partner effectively with IT and development teams\nExperience with Power BI and/or Tableau\nKnowledge of SQL, Python, Snowflake, and/or APIs\nExperience identifying and implementing opportunities using automation, analytics, or AI\nLean or Six Sigma experience\nExperience with a TMS software provider or transportation technology organization is a plus \n\nWhat You Will Get:\nThis is Caterpillar - creating and delivering world-class components and solutions superior to the competition.
