Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it.\n\nJob Description\nAs a Warehouse Associate at Caterpillar Inc., you will work from a variety of source documents to verify part numbers, part locations and quantities. In addition to counting parts and filling orders, you will conduct first line, basic quality assessment of parts for damage and defects.\nStarting Pay: $18.90/hr plus 7% night shift premium when working 2nd shift\nJob Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:\nUtilizing and inspecting heavy equipment including sit down fork truck, pallet jack and overhead hoists\nPerform material handling and warehousing functions\nOrder filling, processing, storing/ picking of parts, materials, equipment and supplies Operating automated packaging equipment, shipping and receiving\nMultiple systems interactions\nInteraction with carrier drivers\nAdhere to all facility safety policies and procedures\nUses machines for weighing, banding, wrapping, packaging, stenciling, etc.\nOperates electronic hardware to receive material into inventory, including IPads\nPerforms 5S/housekeeping functions as required Essential Job Functions:\nFrequently lift parts up to 35 pounds individually or 70 pound as team lift\nFrequently bending, reaching and squatting while performing tasks\nConsistent usage of required PPE for task being performed\nWork in an environment with frequently changing temperatures Basic and/or Desired Qualifications may include, but are not limited to:\nAbility frequently lift and carry boxes weighing up to 35 pounds for intervals of 15-30 minutes\nWork in an environment with frequently changing temperatures\nWalk squat and bend over for intervals of 15-30 minutes, with or without reasonable accommodation\nPrevious distribution center, warehouse, and/or order filling experience\nGood attendance record\nAbility to work OT when required\nThe ability to cross reference material to documentation for verification\nSummary Pay Range:\n$18.90 - $24.10Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-relatedknowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.
