Being a member of our team is rewarding!\nWelding Trainees are trained to operate fabrication machinery under close supervision to produce quality metal fabricated parts at the appropriate time in the right quantities in a high-performance team environment using welding equipment to perform basic tack and straight line welds.\nDuties and Responsibilities:\nWelding Trainees perform a variety of welding and production duties while adhering to Caterpillar’s core values of integrity, excellence, teamwork, commitment, and sustainability. Welding Trainees work within and across zones on the production floor in the areas of assembly, fabrication, paint or other production areas, ensuring safety, quality and standard work protocol are followed. Welding Trainees use welding equipment to perform basic tack and straight line after completing welding training.\nBasic Requirements:\nMust be able to meet the physical requirements including, but not limited to:\nLifting up to 35 lbs; standing and walking constantly; and frequently kneeling, climbing, and reaching with or without reasonable accommodations\nPrior employment and/or volunteer experience\nCaterpillar requires all candidates to be 18 years of age or older due to safety regulations\nTop candidates will also have:\nPrevious manufacturing/distribution experience\nAbility to work in a team environment\nExperience working with Standard Operating Procedures or Standard Work Additional Information:\nAdditional Information:\nShift: 2nd Shift (Monday- Friday 12PM-8:30PM)\n*Must be able to work 1st shift hours while in training (Mon-Fri 7AM-3:30PM)\nCompensation: $16.45 per hour, + quarterly Goal Sharing Bonus\nWork location: Victoria, TX\nFinal Details:\nPlease frequently check the email associated with your application, including the junk/spam folder, as this is the primary correspondence method.
