Join us in Inspiring Hope and Building Futures.\nJOB SUMMARY: The Community Support Specialist is a skilled, direct-care position focused on assisting adults with developmental disabilities in achieving their personal outcomes while always respecting their personal rights and choices.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:\nParticipates in PCP meetings, plan and implements goals as agreed in the participant’s team meeting(s). \nClearly documents with a detailed description of participants daily activities, behaviors, goal progress, etc. \nCreates a stimulating learning environment utilizing various activities, to include sensory, physical and community activities on a daily basis. \nCommunicates clearly and effectively with participants, their families and essential team members at all times. \nProvides personal assistance to persons with disabilities. \nPromotes communication using alternative or traditional means. \nPromotes health and wellness, and actively engages participants in activities onsite and within the community. \nAssists with maintenance of program site area and program vehicles. \nSafely transports participants from the Program to various community outings and back in an Agency vehicle as scheduled. \nProperly records and administers medication to clients as required. \nPass the MTTP tests. \nRecertify as Certified Medication Technician (CMT) with the MBON as required. \nFollow the directions and procedures per the delegating RN.\nPerforms other job-related duties. \nRequirements\nEDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:\nMust have a high school diploma or equivalent. \nExperience working with persons with severe and multiple disabilities. \nCertified Nursing Assistant a plus. \nSKILLS and COMPETENCIES:\nPossess basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook 365. \nMust possess a valid local, driver’s license and the ability to maintain a good driving record. \nBenefits Package:\nRobust Professional development and training opportunities\nMedical, prescriptions, dental and vision insurance\nRetirement savings plan with company match\nCompany-paid and supplemental life insurance\nShort Term/ Long Term disability\nGroup Life Insurance and AD&D\nOther Volunteer Insurance Benefits\nFlexible spending accounts\nPaid vacation, sick and personal leave\n11 paid holidays\nTuition reimbursement\nEmployee referral bonus program \nParenting leave \nPet’s Insurance \nWork Schedule: Monday -
