{"id":1728794,"url":"https://alion.io/job/cavalier-distributing-craft-beer-sales-representative-gainesville","title":"Craft Beer Sales Representative - Gainesville","company":{"id":2092797,"name":"Cavalier Distributing","domain":"cavbeer.com","url":"https://alion.io/company/cavbeer","size_band":null,"is_staffing_agency":false,"employer_type":"direct","is_intermediary":false,"listed_via":null,"ats_vendor":"Paylocity","truth_index":null},"role":"Sales","role_family":"Sales","seniority":null,"employment_type":null,"work_mode":"on_site","remote_scope":null,"remote_scope_basis":null,"remote_working_hours":null,"hiring_geo_confidence":"structured","locations":["Gainesville, United States"],"countries":["US"],"hiring_countries":[],"hiring_countries_total":0,"salary":null,"salary_estimate":null,"experience_years_min":null,"visa_sponsorship":false,"relocation_package":false,"has_equity":false,"technologies":[],"status":"live","first_seen_at":"2026-09-16T20:06:28Z","employer_posted_date":"2026-10-02","last_verified_at":"2026-10-22T09:32:07Z","board_verified":true,"closed_at":null,"days_open":35,"trust":{"level":"ok","repost_count":null,"flags":[],"days_open":35},"description":"Description\nA Sales Representative is responsible for sales, sales support and operations to ensure continuity in product offering and company goals of Cavalier products throughout the assigned territory.\nPrinciple Responsibilities:\nDevelop new business and maintain effective customer relations and promote the good will of the company.\nPrepares all quote documentation with accurate pricing for all current or prospective customers.\nEnsure that all products are rotated and code policy is followed.\nSuccessful sale, distribution and placement of all Cavalier products.\nAssist in displaying merchandise during peak seasonal roll out to chains.\nAssist in all resets of chain stores.\nAssist in working, setting up and tearing down of all special events and festivals.\nFocus on selling products and/or upgrading number of product lines in retail accounts.\nIdentify accounts that are not currently customers and develop a plan to establish business with such accounts.\nConduct beer tastings and beer dinners and other promotions in accounts on a regular basis or when required.\nAssist in covering routes for Sales Representatives on vacation.\nMaintain up-to-date awareness of company activities and industry trends.\nMaintain check-in sheets and all invoices.\nMaintain adherence to all Company policies and procedures.\nEffective accounts receivable collections within corporate credit policy.\nHandle customer inquiries regarding credit, delivery, product information and other inquiries as they arise.\nExecute monthly goals as related to business activities.\nMaintain a regular schedule of weekly appointments with accounts in assigned area.\nAttend monthly District Sales Manager meetings.\nOther duties as assigned.\nRequirements\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:\nBasic understanding of Cavalier Distributing products.\nAbility to communicate effectively.\nAbility to speak and write the English language at least at the high school level is required.\nThorough knowledge of traffic laws and defensive driving.\nAbility to add and subtract, using whole numbers and decimals.\nExcellent customer relation skills.\nAbility to work independently.\nAbility to process information/merchandise.\nAbility to communicate with supervisor, Company Sales Representatives, current and prospective customers on a professional level.\nAbility to read, count and write to accurately complete all documentation.\nMust have a valid unexpired driver’s license with a clean DMV record.\nMust have reliable transportation.\nAbility to read maps/directions and operate GPS units.\nAbility to work varied hours/days as business dictates including evenings and/or weekends for special events.\nPhysical Requirements: (Lifting-Exactly how much, bending, climbing, driving equipment, etc.).\n\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit.
